Free Dining extended to September 2012 (Canada)

OP's offer has to be for Canada... I am going to keep looking even though the CM told me no. Maybe today will be my lucky day!

Micknme, your profile states that you're in Ontario. If that's the case, Disney's computer server might pick up that your IP (computer) address is in Canada and may be listing the Canadian Free Dining Discount for you automatically. Canadians (and Canadians only, from what I've heard) have been offered through Sept 2012 already.

No, I have never used the Canadian site before. I noticed the page had changed (picture of Mickey) and looked for the dates to see what else was different. Even though I am Canadian, I don't know why I was suddenly sent there after all these years??

Go to the bottom of the page. See what version you are looking at. US has Timon with bugs and dining is offered thru March '12. Canada has Chef Mickey with a boy and dining is offered thru Sept '12.

Correct. So no, free dining has not been released till September for the US.

Go to the bottom of the page. See what version you are looking at. US has Timon with bugs and dining is offered thru March '12. Canada has Chef Mickey with a boy and dining is offered thru Sept '12.

yes the canadian site has Chef Mickey.

I switched at the botttom of the page to the USA English and Timon and Pumba came up. But when I switch back it was Mickey Mouse.

So the free dinning must be for us Canadian's sorry. I dont' get why they wouldnt' do free dinning for everyone.

You don't have to be using the Canadian site for the server to recognize that you are in Canada. Look at the link you gave us:

This promo is specificially for Canadians. The page also specifies US Dollars, which the US site would not do. So I'm glad you were able to get Free Dining in the fall, congrats!

The interesting test would be if a person located in the US tried to use that link to complete a booking. Has anyone in the US done so?

My two cents . . . The link shows the price as "US$" rather than "$", which seems to me would mean an offer outside of the US.

I'm in Canada too. I finally got the free dining to load (it took forever). This is what it says:

So not a big window anyway.

UK has free dining thru Sept '12 too I think. Hopefully soon for us!!

no no there is another special offer as well for free dining from Jan to March and then Aug. to Sept 2012 the link was posted in an earlier thread.

Yes, quite a few DISers have and it's gone thru and they've gotten email confirmation. With my luck, I'd be flagged at the front desk and have to pay $1300 for the DDP when I don't have my passport or CA ID.

See the spot where it says (in the address) CA&market? That means the offer is for the Canadian market.

I tried and tried to get people here to listen since a CM told me that the free dining may get removed from those that booked the offer outside of Canada but I got harassed and called things and some said I was spreading "doom and gloom". Whatever. I just tried to warn people. I have already seen 5 people that have gone back to look at their remaining balance to find that the DDP was added back onto their package.

They eventually will. But not yet. I have my trip paid for already and cannot get the CM's to add FD to my res cause they all say it is not available for the US right now.

EEEKK!! Never mind. Just realized that says 2011. I know I clicked on the offer for 2012 to get the dates. I'll try again and see what happens. May take a while to load again.

I just tried the link and actually got to the "Book Now" part, after it quoted me pricing with tax and insurance. A chat box popped up and I chatted with Madeline and I asked her about the offer. She said that it's a Canadian offer and proof of residency would be required upon check-in. I actually sent her the link so she could verify. Hope that helps someone...before booking this, I would call for sure and verify the pricing and that the price will be honored if you check-in and don't have proof of Canadian residency.
