Free Dining/Dining Plan Questions

My apologies if this belongs in another forum, or if this has been asked in another thread. My family and I have never used a Disney Dining Plan; just never added up for us. But next year we are hoping for a Free Dining Discount on our trip. It will be our last trip just us big girls since my DBF and I are having our first child in August 2014! Any who, since it's our last big girl trip we are going all out and eating at all the spots we've never done; Cinderella's Royal Table, BOG, Tusker House, etc. We will also be using a TinW card for the meals not covered by the Free Dining. My question is this, if mom wants wine and an appetizer at dinner but sis and I want dinner and dessert can sis and I use the Free Dining while mom uses her TinW discount card? I know it sounds like a Common Core math problem, but I want to be 100% sure on my spreadsheets so I know what to budget for. Thanks a million!

You can use the dining credits to cover all they cover, and then TIW to cover what the DDP doesn't cover.

If you only want 1 or 2 ppl at the table on the DDP you can request that, and the other can use the TIW card. But the more complicated you make things, the more likely there'll be an error and a double charge - so pay attention at each location. Once you leave it'll be very difficult to correct anything.
