Folks,

I noticed this thread over on the "Theme Park Attractions and Strategies" board of the DIS. Looks like a free dining offer is coming http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2886549

It looks like when this comes out it will be available for the FW cabins (not campsites) during the dates listed.

Cabin campers, on your mark, get set, .......... popcorn::

PS - remember people can always get the PAID dining plan with the campsite per the usual rules but FREE dining is only available with the cabins.

I was booked in cabin. I called today about FD and they said not to cabin:/ I moved us to AS sports with two rooms and FD. It was cheaper but not by much because I had a 30% pin for Cabin. With 6 of us 5 of them being big eaters...I think getting dining will save us. It will be a new adventure for us.

The cabins have always been and are included in free dining. Never for the campsites. If you want a cabin I'd call back and get a CM that knows what's going on or book online.

Yep, FD is available.

I did an on-line priceout and it's there. Key is, though, to use the right link. :teacher:

If you use the standard package pricing tool on the top left page of the main disneyworld site, you won't get free dining.

If you use the special link provided, you can get free dining. On the bottom of the main disneyworld site under the "Tickets and Packages" click the "Special Offers" link. Click on the link for the "Enjoy free dining" offer. At the bottom of this screen, click the "Check Availability" button.

For my sample priceout, I chose checkin as 9/24, checkout as 9/29, 2 adults, 2 kids ages 15 and 13, and chose the Moderate/Cabins at FW option. Assume Base 6-day tickets.

The free dining total as shown below was $2,789. Using the standard tool the total (with paid dining) was $3,820.

Here is the priceout with free dining.

mouse2mouse, maybe your dates had no more availability. Or call back and try again. On the thread I linked in the original post folks were saying that the Values are already nearly full/used up on this the first day of general availability. Also, depending on how many discounts were available, the early booking Disney Visa folks may have gotten many of them.

Sorry, it's probably too late now but when I called yesterday to add the FD onto my existing cabin res, the CM had no problem doing it, there was never any mention of it not including the cabins. They are considered a moderate resort, so I'm not sure why you were told you couldn't get it.

I also just booked the Cabins with free dining. Free dining isn't showing up for me on the website, so I called Monday night. It took a while due to the CM having computer problems, but I was able to book FD in a cabin for September 8 to 21.

This is the third year in a row that we have had free dining at the cabins in September/October.

We have used FD in the cabins for the past 3 years. Already booked again for this Sept. So excited to be going home!

I have seen the FD for the cabins too. It was on the list of resorts. I just wish they would do more discounts for the campsites. Just a little something would be nice. I know they are the cheapest out of all the disney properties but some of the people that stay there do it cause they love camping and cause that is all they can afford. I know with my big family we could never afford to stay at a resort. At least one with enough room for all of us. I priced those places and I could buy a car with that price.

We booked for September 22-28th with free dining and are soooo excited!!! It will be an awesome deal with 4 adults and 2 kids. The cabins look like they will be perfect for us but we will have to learn what to do with only 1 bathroom.:banana::banana:
