I know what free dining is. I know what a bounce back is.

I have seen people mention free dining bounce backs on the forums. Is this an extra discount that is less then rack rate with free food?

Is this only availabe if booked during free dining? When we were there we saw the bounce back card whice offered a small discount for value resorts and a bit more for mods and even more for deluxes. The discounts seemed pretty lame so we passed. I was just wondering if we had booked then for our late Sept trip if we could have gotten both discounts.

I think we pay the same amount.

We just got first chance at the resort and the dates before the rest of the public.

No. Free Dining bounceback is exactly the same offer as the general public offer, you just get to book in advance of the public offer.

Yes. The free dining bounceback offer was in the rooms during free dining last Aug/Sept.

Disney does not stack discounts...you just have to do the math and figure out which offer would work best for your vacation, and then book with that discount. General rule of thumb is the larger your family, the better the free dining is, especially if you stay at a value or moderate hotel. If your party is small and you prefer mods or deluxe chances are the percentage off room discount will be the better deal for you.

hope that helps!

Thanks, this makes me feel better about the trip I just booked. There will be 4 of us at Pop.

From reading the site, it looks to be a package of 5 nights/6 days. But I was still able to get free dining for a 4 night/5 day stay.

We will be going down on a Saturday and will be pulling the kids out of school for 3 days. I didn't want to push it beyond that.

I booked bounceback while at Disney last year. When FD came out this year, I checked and I actually got a slightly better deal ($26).

abc999, I see from your ticker that you are coming for my Birthday on the 27th. That is so nice of you. :rotfl2:

Free dining is a minimum 3 night stay. You do not have to book a 5 night stay, although the ads make it sound that way.

I did the same thing but since we are staying 13 nights so it is $51.96 less for us. I rebooked with the new deal and cancelled the bounce back offer.

I did the same thing, but got $51.98 back. My dates are Sept 26th-Oct 4th.:rotfl: I was told the difference would depend on how many days into Oct your trip went (something about how the Bounceback offer automatically charged us for Regular season rate for any of the trip that fell in Oct, but the new free dining offer doesn't).
