Free Dining Announcement by April 12

So, us non visa card holders should be able to book online on April 12th at 12:01 a.m.? I'm worried I won't get my ressie because I have 5 people and that limits my options. Why oh why did I throw all of those preapproved apps in the trash? I called today to get a card, but it won't be here by monday, of course. :headache:

Stop stressing:goodvibes .. Us Diser's have the jump on everyone else (poor clueless non Diser's  ) You will get your ressie if you call first thing Thursday

lmazzafe, here I am but only 'slightly' so!! :rotfl2:

Slightly Goofy

I was told the free dining applied to 5 night/6 day MYW packages at select Value resorts; however, several other posters have argued that this couldn't possibly be true. :confused3

Thanks for the reassurance. I can't stop stressing though. I've even been trying to think of ways my visa holding friend (who's also going with us but staying in a time share offsite) can call and make a reservation for her and I in one room and I'll just show my visa (the one that I haven't actually gotten yet :rotfl2: ) when I get there and check in. Don't know if that would work though. :confused3 It's preoccupying way more of my time then it ought to! When I stop to think about it, the trips I've booked when I wasn't a DISer were far less stressful although way more costly. :rotfl2:

Bonz, there will be no month for me. It is down to about 24 days now as I plumb forgot I am supposed to be in PA the first weekend of October for a family reunion. I missed it last year and if I do not want to be drummed out of the family I had best show up this year. I will be gone from home for over a month though. Should I dust before I leave?

I am posting like crazy today as I am close to 4,000 posts. I have to make that one on my EWP thread or those Suite Ladies will come after me and beat me to death with Mickey Bars. Ummm, not a bad way to go, me thinks.

Since several of them actually know where I sleep and live I have to behave, or else. One might let me hold her baby Thursday IF I behave myself. ;)

If you have instructions on how to behave please send ASAP so I can start practicing. :flower3:

how can one tell the other diss members at Disney and how can I get something for myself to shoe that I am a diss memeber also?

You can join the LGMH club(lime green mickey head). :rotfl2: Head on over to the Disney paint section of your local Home Depot store and help yourself to some of the alien green paint cards. They're lime green micky heads. Peel the heads off of the cards and glue them to another head so both sides are green. Attach them to your person, your stroller, your kids...whatever is with you. And don't forget to decorate the door on your hotel room too! You'll know you've seen a DISer when you spot someone w/some LGMH's. If you're really lucky, they may ever "Fock" you with the Focker sign...ya know...two finger pointed from your eyes to theirs. :rotfl2: I so can't wait until my September trip so I can put this all into play.

You could have your friend make a ressie in your name on her visa..all she would have to charge is the deposit $200.00. Balance due is paid 45 days prior to check-in. You don't have to show a c/c when you arrive

Slightly Goofy

I think we need to change your name to DEFINITELY GOOFY ..::yes:: you make me laugh :rotfl:

Well......Goofy, if I were you I'd certainly be crying in my beer:drinking1
ONLY 24 days:sad1: at Disney. Too funny, I've bowed out of two family reunions in Baltimore the past years at the same time. Sure hope Mickey comes to visit me in the nursing home as pretty sure none of my family will:lmao:

Who told you it had to be 5 nights and only Value resorts? Chase Visa or a Disney CM in reservations?
If it was Chase, they are probably reading ad copy. Disney often uses 5 nights and Value resorts in advertising their "deals" but the deals are usually good for other length of stays and most resorts with open rooms.

Except me.. sutto sister :yay: I will even wheel you around in your wheelchair & mash up your food..:rotfl: but I stop at bedpans :scared:

bonzarella, no beer for me. I do not drink, the last time I did was over at PORFQ watching the piano man. I was too cheap to pay for a soda and they did not have my drink of choice, iced tea, so I 'sipped' some of my hubby's pitcher of beer. I think I 'sipped' a glass and a half and got so drunk I barely made it to the room, about 3 doors down. I spent the next day in bed ($300 a day vacation wasted) with a massive hangover.

Do not cry me for though as 24 days still beats our all time record of ONLY 21 days. Thank you for your concern though. You are so sweet.

keliblue, I am well versed in pushing wheelchairs around and feeding folks (here comes the airplane) and am surrounded by so much **it in my life that a little more is not a problem. Besides I am willing to bet that Bonz would do something that my family would not, thank me.

Having lawyers in my family I do put a disclaimer on the name "Slightly Goofy" in that the former is a gross understatement. :rotfl2:

How about someone out there planning a Disney retirement village just for those of us who will be abandoned by our families in our old age and want to live out our later years in the land of Magic? Would be cheaper than a nursing home even at the Luxury resorts. I have friends in nursing homes that I go feed cause they just put the food in front of them and they are too weak to pick up a fork. Wouldn't the world/government be better if it were run by the same folks who brought us IASW and Dole Whips? Just a thought.

Slightly Goofy, but not entirely insane

I called Disney Visa this morning and was told that they were offering free Dining from August 26 through September 22nd for Disney Visa cardholders. There is a 5 nite minimum stay. This information, I was told, will be on the website on Monday, April 9th. I called my AAA Travel agent and was told that if I got the free dining, that I wouldn't be able to use my AAA discount. You're only allowed one discount code - so it's either a 20% discount on the room and tickets (AAA discount): or free dining. I miss the dining AGAIN!!!:sad1:

For us the free dining is a much better deal. We are currently saving only $300 using AAA. DDP would cost us $1400.
