Free dining and upgrade AP question

We booked a bounceback FD for Sept and are FL residents and have military discount and I was wondering if we could upgrade the magic your way 5 day pass to a FL Resident AP at Shades of Green (saves sales tax ) or if we have to upgrade at WDW?

Sorry, no. SOG does not do upgrades, only straight sales.
