I'm sorry if this has been covered previously, (which I'm sure it has) I've looked and looked but found nothing.

I remember reading somewhere that with free dining you couldn't do a split stay. But I'm sure I've seen Trip reports where people have done just that. So I just wondered what the work around was?

I guess what I'm asking is, would Virgin, or similar TA, allow me to book my flights and one weeks worth of accommodation in one booking and then my second week of accommodation under another booking? I know I'd have to take two, sets of park admission for each person in my party. Or would I have to book my first week with a UK TA and then edge my bets and wait till Free dining was released for everybody?

On the Uk offer then no,as the offer must include park tickets for the duration of your stay. The US have a way around it as they only have to buy a minimum of a 1day ticket for the split week.I don't think that having to buy 2 seperate lots of Passes would make it that cost effective on the Uk offer but depending on your split you could always get Free DDP for the biggest stay then pay OOP for the split.

Ahhh, I totally missed that tickets had to be for the duration of the stay!

I hate it when my plans fall apart. Thank you so much for your help, though.

Faerie to be honest I don't understand why it is so?:confused3 OK different if for instance you split your stay with a few days at US but when you are just moving from 1 resort to the other.....? Anyway you maybe lucky by 2010 as the changes for 2009 aren't going down too well on the US boards, with alot of people stating that Free DDP Lite isn't enough of an incentive to go in Sept so WDW maybe forced to change the "carrot"!

Is it possible to have free DDP for one of your hotels and not have it for the other hotel, if you are doing a split stay? At least it would save some money which is always a good thing!!

Sorry, but in a word no, if you are using a UK tour operator. It has to be for the duration of your holiday.
