Free Dining & ADR's?

Just doing the math here...if they don't announce Free Dining until the first week of April, and we're going in August, how can we make our ADRs 180 days in advance? There are only approximately 135 days in between. Can I make ADRs without having booked anything else? If I book my package before they announce FD will I be able to go back and get it after it's announced? Please be patient with my newbie confusion!!! Thank you!

You can book your ADR's before you have your room, you just have to do each day at the 180 mark. What I did is book my room for the approximate dates I thought I wanted and then made my ADR's so I could call for my first day at 180 and then book all my dates after it on the same day (up to 10) Then when free dining came out, they rebooked me with the package. You do not have to redo your aDRs.

I booked our whole package last September when the packages became available to book. Made all my ADRs at the 180 day mark and that sat and waited & hoped for free dining to be announced. On the day it became available, I called & applied it to my package. We have done that the past 2 trips as well. Last year our package was paid in full when the free dining credit was applied and they gave us a refund!

Bounceback offers are given to people who are currently staying at a WDW resort during a certain time frame. For example...we were there for free dining in September 2007 and were offered the "bounceback" for free dining in September 2008. That meant we had to book our trip on or before our check out day last September (2007) for a trip this September (2008). So if there is a free dining bounceback offered this year for next, the people going for free dining at the end of August thru September will be able to book for 2009 .

The only bounceback offers we've seen were the ones in the room for 30-40%off mods, deluxe & dvc. When you booked last September, what kind of offer were you booking? Was it a bounceback for one of these room discounts or was it a bounceback for Free dining? In other words, what exactly was the bounceback offer you booked, and why did you then have to get the Free Dining applied if it was a free dining bounceback? If it was a room discount, did they take that discount off before applying the free dining? (since supposedly you can have only one discount?) Obviously, I'm confused.
