Free Dining 8/26-9/22-Anyone Else Hear This?

Does anyone know if in the past there was a minimum nights stay required for free dining or would one night work? Thanks for any and all replies.

we are on the bounce back program for end of Sept. :cloud9: Just wanted to send pixie dust to the rest :wizard:

Hi all- A few questions...as I am new to Disney.
We are going 8/23-30. So if they do the free dining- would we still get it for those days that we are there during the promo?
Also- I have a new Disney Visa-do you book somewhere through the visa to get a special deal? Or just through the regular disney website?
Also- I called the (407)939-6244 # taht the disney site has- but was on hold for EVER! Is that the number to call? You would think they would have a 1-800 #....?
TIA!!!
You would call Disney to book through them.

If the rumored dates are correct you would have to book a seperate reservation with a start date of 8/26 which would require a purchase of new tickets and you may have to switch rooms although I think the resort would do its best to keep you in place.

I just made ADRs for a week during the "reported" free dining and had no problem making them without hotel ressies.

I used 1 800 number, chose #3 the dining option, asked for group dining (we're going to be a grand gathering) and the cm "Gemini" was fantastic, and got me everything I wanted. She says the Grand Gathering cms will just link our ADRs and our hotel ressies when we make them.

Didn't tell her we were waiting for free dining, but just that our hotel ressies weren't finalized yet, and that I was in charge of dining for our group. LOL

I was even able to get Le Cellier for a party of 15!!!

Hope my info helps someone. :wizard:

JJEGR I don't know if anyone answered your question already, in the past it has been a three night minimum (and 10 night max, but I guess the rumor is that it might be 14 days this year?)

As someone else posted - there has been a 3 nt minimum in the past. If you were to do only a 1 night stay, you would only get 1 table service/1 counter service and 1 snack (per person). You could not book one night and then stay for another week with a room only reservation, for example, and still get the dining plan. (true whether you're doing free dining plan or paying for it)

That said, if you have AP or something (unused non-expire tickets) you can book the package for however long you are going to be there and just get one day park passes.

Figures...Since we arrive for 4 nights at the Poly on 8/22 then on 8/26 we leaver for 4 nights on the Disney Wonder. Hopefully, it will start sooner. :D

today i called and made my 10 days of adr's.
i asked the cm about the free ddp.

he told me it will be a disney visa free dining promo that runs all of sept and into the beginning of october. i told him i read a message board and the impression i received from that was aug to sept 22.

he said he was familiar with the disboards but what he was informed it will not include august for the promo.

i wish the cm's would get their stories straight!
now i am confused ....

he told me to switch to a package once the promo comes out and my adr's are tied to my name and phone number so i don't have to call back for new adr's.

he ended the conversation by telling me to watch for the disney visa promo. to check the website for more info when it comes out.

now this makes me think it will not be for everyone and only Disney Visa holders..
add me to confused:confused3

Did he say when it was suppose to start? I just checked my disney visa online and there is nothing yet.
