Dates that are usually excluded from free dining....is there ever a room only discount? Like october11-17 ish?
Often there are if you are a member of AAA, or sometimes thru union discounts, etc. A TA would probably be a good source for this.

Any idea what that could possibly mean? Also, I'm thinking about applying for the Disney Rewards Visa (No Fee) to try to get this offer early. Is there any downside to doing that, and do you think we would get the offer with getting the card so close to time?
Thanks for any help!

There is no reason to change dates until the official release, and you would not get the card in time. The deal is different than years past. It has more date exclusions.
I'm confused. Do I have to actually get the card to be eligible for the promo early? I thought it just went out as an email like the PINs. Also, don't they usually give you the card number to use until you get the physical card?
Thanks again for the help! Hopefully the date difference is all she was talking about.
Over on the Disney World UK website (the official Site) They have a brand new free dining offer for 2015 (Jan1 through March 24/15 and April 12 through Nov 30/15) To get to the UK site, scroll to the bottom of the home page on the US or CDN site & click the UK link. Then click deals at the top of their homepage.
It is definitely different then what we've become accustomed to seeing...
Moderates have the offer of the QSDP on a minimum stay of 5 nights.
Deluxe has the regular DDP also on a minimum of 5 nights
Both on reg priced rooms with park tickets.
Also.. Over on the UK planning forums here on the DIS, they've been discussing the Free Breakfast offer for the UK for about a week now..
Value resorts will have that as their FD offer - 1 QS credit per person per day.
Definitely different. Makes you wonder if that could be the "different" the CM was referring to.
I'm planning a trip in nov. If I book and need to add someone but that person isn't staying the whole time that the rest of us are how does that work? Would they get free dining?
Quick update on possible exclusions. It appears that French Quarter and Art of Animation may be excluded. I am unable to determine at this time if it's all of the Art of Animation resort or just the Mermaid rooms. Nevertheless, have a backup plan in place if you plan on staying at either of these popular resorts!

You have two options, add them when they arrive (no tickets no dining), or add them on the reservation for the entire time. If choosing the latter, get the number of tickets that person needs for the whole party and then upgrade the other tickets after first use. You can use their extra dining credits as long as you are in the same room.
