Free dining 2014

I heard there is a possibility that POR might be excluded but my TA might be thinking of POFQ instead. I really hope it is not POR.

im holding out hope that MAYBE? the little mermaid rooms might be included. I know they never have been, but it would be just my luck to change now and then they include them. I have a backup for POP or CBR

It was excluded in the fall promo, and if all of the dates are releasing together, it makes sense that POFQ will be excluded. It fills well without FD.

I'm hoping for POFQ to be included as well. We are already booked for Sept. We stayed here in 2012 @ the end of Aug. With free dining. Other wise we will stay in a preferred room at POR. 3rd choice is CBR. But I just saw some pics on trip advisor from the end of last year of a child with bed bug bites all over their legs from there. Scared me a little. I hope the refurb rumors are true...so excited...come on May 1st and POFQ

I have read so many posts about people already having reservations for POFQ lately, and I don't want this to come off as rude in ANY way, but if people get upset because POFQ a is excluded, there is really no one to blame but the people who booked in hopes for a deal. I know some of you are going with or without a discount, but for those who will only stay there if free dining is offered, you are doing a disservice to yourself by booking in advance of the offer. Booking a room in advance gives you no advantage to getting in on the deal, and it increases the bookings to the point that it gets dropped from the offers. I hope it is included, but if it isn't, don't blame Disney.Good luck, everyone" :goodvibes

Not rude...just the facts! :)

Geesh....Sorry but I had these reservations since last July and yes we were going with or without FD and were not even aware that it would be an option. With that said we now are willing to switch resorts to save money because hey who wouldn't want to save money at Disney and still give their children the most magical time possible!!! Just hoping with everyone else that my first choice is available and using this board to express that. Plus, I'm new at this and did not know it would matter that much since the POFQ has been available in the past.

No need to be sorry. :goodvibes My post was not directed at you, which is why I didn't quote you. There are multiple posts regarding POFQ across multiple threads, including those saying that they cannot believe they would exclude POFQ. It was not included in the fall offer last year, which was the most recent public FD offer. Just offering up some logical perspective so people understand why it will be excluded, if it ends up that way. :goodvibes

I know this has nothing to do with dining however I thought maybe black could answer this question...does anyone know the park hours for the beginning of November? TIA

Gotcha. Now I know for next time to wait. I had no idea that they might do this every year. Fall may be my new vacation time.

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news for those hoping for AoA and POFQ. Looks like these 2 resorts have now been excluded.

The newest info is now showing:

Some resorts are excluded, such as Art of Animation, Port Orleans French Quarter, Campsites at Ft. Wilderness, 3-bedroom villas, and Villas at The Grand Floridian. A 3 night minimum stay (14 night maximum) and two day minimum park ticket is required for each person in the party.

Additional resorts and/or room types may be excluded once the promotion is released.

WHOA!!!!! I have MS and we booked 6 months ago because it is easier for me to get around after a long day. But I also don't want to ask our friends who are going along to pay another $770 if they (and we can save money). At the time I booked it was for a trip. When Black announced that FD was going to be available again, Sept has had POFQ the last few years for only that month. If I have made everyone else lose their "opportunity" because I have MS, sooooo sorry. That was really cruel to include all of us who might have a real reason for the booking.

Amen! I have MS and booked it because it's the best place for me, but as much as we like it, our friends going along don't need to pay $700+ more because of it, so we will move. BUT too many are bashing others who don't understand the individual situations.:furious:

I was not blaming you personally. :confused3 I was explaining why resorts are left out of deals. I'm sorry you have MS, but you have no idea what you are talking about here. Reread my post. I was addressing people who were booking ahead of the deal with no intention of staying there unless they get a deal. My husband has mobility issues of his own. I would never EVER be "cruel" to anyone. PERIOD.

I'm not trying to get in the middle of this, but I think we should all calm down. You know these wonderful people did not have to give us a heads up about the FD, but they did and it's greatly appreciated and we should leave it at that. To much complaining and the heads ups will stop. These guys are giving us a chance to get all of changes done on paper in advance so we are not scrambling the day of. Just saying...please don't take this harshly....I really do love this thread.

for some reason people on this board feel the need to discipline others for booking their reservations because it might interfere with there own needs. Enjoy your vacation.

WHOA is right. I booked early at POFQ because booking early helps be pay off my vacation early. I'm not much of a saver, but getting my reservation started and "corn holing" money in there as early as I can helps my financial situation. My sister had a bounce back offer for FD at POFQ from last year and that's where her room is. I booked there because of her, and we will probably switch to POR now to get our other two rooms on FD.

Booking early makes it solid and real. Sometimes people just need the vacation to be real, and it gives us "workaholics" something to look forward to.
