Good Morning Everyone!! Just got off the phone with a Disney TA. Was told they are currently just booking summer specials to August 31st and they have not heard of any FD planning. Then she stated "this is what they are flashing on our screen and telling us to say BUT please keep checking something could be coming out soon". I am going to keep on checking. What I do not understand is why does Disney Visa not tell us? So hopefully it will be soon I cannot wait to book.

Just got off the phone with my Disney Chase Visa, the man who answered was very sweet, he said that they have been receiving a lot of call about the dining question, I asked him is there some email that I am missing from Chase. He said that the email would come from Disney not them. Not sure if people knew that already (sorry if thats a repeat). So I guess I will just have to go to work and keep checking here and my email for the day.

IF tomorrow is FD for Disney Visa holder's, POR may be excluded to give something for the general public when that offer goes live.

Just a thought.

Well, on the bright side.....this gives another day for my replacement Disney Visa to arrive in the mail and I can run more numbers so I know what I'm going to shoot for .

I went round and round with Chase and Disney a little while ago on the same issue... Chase says it comes from Disney, Disney says it comes from Chase...
I talked to multiple people, in multiple departments, at both places. I finally got a manager at Chase who took down a lot of information, put me on hold a few times, and then came back and said he needed to "dig around more" because "if there is a code for Disney Visa holders, that comes from us...".
That was months ago. Never heard back.
I thought about calling back but I was so frustrated with all of those calls, that I just decided to save myself more headaches and follow it on here
I hope others have better luck with receiving emails than I do!

I made my reservation thru AAA do I have call them? The Disney site is not listing this as special offer yet. Does it matter????

I am in the Port Orleans boat... My fiancé and I LOVE French Quarter, but it seems the only way you can get a discount is with a pin (which we have for the wrong times... curses!). So, we decided to try Riverside so that we could get free dining because it has always been included...

We definitely DON'T want twin beds... So, I guess our next option is going to be CSR... Which we have been to before, but weren't crazy about it... Not sure what our backup plan after that one is... Guess I have to go plan some more..

I know what you mean, but just for future reference, CBR has double beds, not twin. Twin beds are those really narrow ones people usually buy for young children.

So I was curious do they release FD to the DV holders first and then to the public?

Our calculations must be different because I have it as like 1K more....

The variable is the "paying oop for food". For my part, I could eat snacks and QS all day. My husband tho, is a "foodie". Likes his TS meals. If I try to push for budgeting our dining, I just get labeled the "WDW Scrooge", so it's not worth it. Also, our family includes 2 DS's age 17 and 22- which increases our total food bill over families with little kids. Soooo when I estimated OUR oop food + staying at POR, it may be higher than your oop food.

Supposedly, but I have not seen any confirmation yet that the work has even started, let alone a completion date.

I keep hearing this myself but I also heard that it won't happen for awhile. I'm hoping for the Queen bed upgrade before our stay in September.

I specifically asked her about Disney Visa cardholders.

I had to use my Disney Visa for the deposit - $200.

It was rumored to have started in April with queen beds. I have always wanted to try CBR but the full beds are a deal breaker for my family.

I am not a Disney Visa holder so would have to wait until they are released to the public.

I presently have 2 reservations booked for Dec 20-27.

Can I make another 1 or 2 reservations, when I call in for the free dining?

I asked just for the heck of it on the chat on my disney experience and I got answered in big bold font lol

"We understand that there has been some speculation on several social media sites of an offer starting today, unfortunately this is not so. To ensure that you always have current and accurate information, we recommend that you go to our website.

Currently we are only booking our Summer discounted room only offer for travel through August 28. We do not have any other, similar offers in our system at this time"

like someone at the call center or a an agent working for an agency that books Disney? the travel agents website that they use to book doesn't flash anything and there is no scripting on it.

I've seen the rumor as well, but not one single confirmed report of work being started. I have seen quite a few reports that work has definitely not started yet though, so who knows.
