Anyone know if you can add a guest later if you get free dining? As of now it will just be my two boys and I but it's possible that one of their aunts or cousins will end up joining us. Will that person get free dining too if we add them after making the reservation?

Yes, if they are added to your room.

This may be a dumb question (I know, there are only dumb people!), but has anyone seen anything directly from DV or Chase about FD? I am just as excited as everyone is, but I wanted to see something concrete before making the attempt to call in, etc.

Chase will not notify anyone in advance. They send out emails to some people on the day it is released, but only several hours after it goes live. You will know from this thread by 7:05am tomorrow if it is live. The thread will move very quickly, too.

Quick update on possible exclusions.

It appears that French Quarter and Art of Animation may be excluded.

Does this increase the chances that POR will be INCLUDED? or does it have no bearing? I realize I'm asking a "look into your crystal ball" questions.... but an educated guess would be appreciated.

Thanks for the info everyone! Now to try to make a decision..we already purchased our airline tickets from Southwest for a great deal - I'm wondering if the flights will be as cheap in Nov?

I do find a disconnect between the flights to MCO on Southwest given that when I was looking, Oct. 19-27 was WAY cheaper than any other times in October and they are not even allowing booking into Nov yet...who knows. for a while, Disney was predicable, however, guess things are picking up and this might be the first start of reducing availability of FD.

I do know that FWF has become sort of a mad house. perhaps that is why its more busy in Oct.

gone are the glory days of FWF.

I would just call right around 7am and expect at least 30-60 min. Hopefully it won't be that long as we have heard many reports of cast members being given overtime this week. But hope that overtime is being put to good use by answering phones at 7 AM.

So... while on hold what is everyone planning on doing? Reading DISboards? Seems appropriate, no?

Thanks for the welcome! Shamefully, I've been a lurker for a while, but couldn't keep myself from joining in the fray!

I also appreciate the head's up on how Chase handles these things. This will be our first time getting FD with the DV. Looking forward to a wonderful stay towards the end of September at POR-AB. Also, we're excited to sample the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival for the first time.

You can add/change people, everyone in the room gets the same package. Just do it before the 45 day penalty.

If I get FD tomorrow (already booked at POR) and we decide afterwards to upgrade to either a Royal Room or to Wilderness Lodge, do I lose the FD discount? Or would that discount still be valid? Would there need to be Royal Rooms or WL rooms still allotted for FD?

No you shouldn't lose the FD...and WL will most likely not run out. That is where we stay. We only recently ran into trouble get rooms for a BB ( a specific room type)...but they don't usually run out all together.

Disney often runs more than one promo at once. No reason to think that IF this offer came out for the rest of the year that nothing else would come.

Don't worry, CBR is going through a refurb. that started in April and if I am not mistaken should be done by fall. Queen beds! It's my second choice too. Hoping for POR.

Just curious where you got your info from? I called the resort directly to confirm and the CM said that they are planning it but don't yet have a start date. Maybe sometime this summer. I have never wanted to stay at CBR before because of the double beds but this would definitely change my mind.

All you experienced peeps out there: What if I have a Disney Visa, just want a value resort (preferably Pop or ASMovies), my dates are Oct 28 - Nov 3, do you suppose I can still get a room with free dining if I don't call tomorrow at 7 EST. It's not that I can't but sounds like the phone lines may be jammed and I wonder if its necessary to book the first day. Maybe like wait a few days, but before the general release, will it be less frantic???

I booked my vacation for sept before the ticket price increase. If I add free dining tomorrow (at 7:01 am..) will I have to pay for the increase in ticket prices? Or is it something they just add on to my reservation?

Unfortunately, room discounts do not get leaked very often. There should be one at some point, but no one really knows when. It is also possible that they will wait to release a fall room discount until August, as usual. I hope it comes sooner than that, though.
