The last couple times I've called Disney the automated answering system took info from the cell phone number I was calling from and the info was wrong. It took several minutes to correct it and finally speak to a real person. We recently switched our cell plan and it's so frustrating because I never had that kind of trouble before. Are you put in the queue based on when you call the Disney number or finally make it through the automated system confirming all your info? I'm concerned that those extra minutes correcting incorrect info tomorrow are going to cost me a lot of time as the queue grows rapidly. Any tips on bypassing the automated information-gatherer? Is there a different number to call? I realize the easy answer is to call on a different phone but that won't be possible for me.

Now I have to come up with a alternate if we plan on adding a night and taking advantage of FDing. Ho Humm....off to run more numbers. Thanks for the update.

I believe these were the exact dates for GP last year as well. The blackout dates would be the ones not listed. The original FD that was released in May was for Sept however on Aug 1 they had added the remainder of the dates.

these were the GP dates for Fall 2013

September 29 - October 2
October 18 - November 2
November 11 - 23
December 12 - 22

the PINs had more dates that were included and resorts that were not excluded but were for the GP Offer. Only one I can remember that was included on the PIN but not on the GP Offer was POFQ.

the GP September offer started Sept 2, I think.

I don't bother correcting it when it's wrong, I just say "representative" or "yes" if it's my old address. Maybe try it today and see if it's any quicker. I had to call to correct the info five or six times after we moved before it finally updated properly.

How long does everyone expect to be on hold tomorrow?

Probably til Frozen 2 comes out.....

I would just call right around 7am and expect at least 30-60 min. Hopefully it won't be that long as we have heard many reports of cast members being given overtime this week. But hope that overtime is being put to good use by answering phones at 7 AM.

Lol:-)

I know this question has been asked before but I can't find the answer in the search function. If you don't have your Chase Disney Visa on hand (waiting on replacement card due to fraud), can you call and get your new number?

Quick update on possible exclusions. It appears that French Quarter and Art of Animation may be excluded. I am unable to determine at this time if it's all of the Art of Animation resort or just the Mermaid rooms. Nevertheless, have a backup plan in place if you plan on staying at either of these popular resorts!
thanks for the update! I love this thread!!!

I know I was just advising that it was GP dates, not just pin dates. :) I was one of those that were on the phone on Aug 1 at 7 am & it took almost 2 hrs to speak with someone. So looking forward to that on May 7. :)

I am so bummed that porfq might be excluded that was my backup to por standard room i was thinking of staying riverview at por but afraid i will get stuck in an ab room i don't like them at all. Would i have a better chance of not being placed in an ab room if i book riverview or garden view?

No. They will not give the card number over the phone due to security issues.

We have never stayed at CBR but kids really want to stay there! Double beds and 10 year olds sharing make me wonder. Making it our second choice...POR is first now, hoping for preferred with FD!

Don't worry, CBR is going through a refurb. that started in April and if I am not mistaken should be done by fall. Queen beds! It's my second choice too. Hoping for POR.

That is my MAIN reservation (POFQ) because for the last few years, it has been included in the Sept offer and not the other months. PORS is our back up and our TA will move as needed, but I really wanted the small resort for leg reasons.

If I get FD tomorrow (already booked at POR) and we decide afterwards to upgrade to either a Royal Room or to Wilderness Lodge, do I lose the FD discount? Or would that discount still be valid? Would there need to be Royal Rooms or WL rooms still allotted for FD?

Oh well, guess I'm waiting till it's released to the GP and/or I get our new card. I remember when we first applied they gave us the number to use immediately so I was hoping there was a way. Thanks for the answer.

Are there still rumors that tomorrow's release won't include October dates yet? Or all dates through the end of the year will come out at the same time?

Sorry but what is an ab room?
:confused3

You would not lose the discount as long as there are still rooms available for that promotion.
