Here's a hypothetical scenario I am now worried about -

We're already booked for Sept 20-27. I can't really change my dates, as this week coincides with school being closed for 2 days and a slow week at work, plus I have an 8:05am ADR at CRT on 9/21 that I refuse to part with. So, if the first weekend of F&W (aka my check-in date) is excluded from FD, can I do a room-only res for 1 night and then get the package w/ FD starting 9/21? Is it possible to do that without actually having to change rooms?

I don't see them blacking out any dates within the offer for September. It will run from one date to another and include everything in between. They've never even blacked-out labor day. I'm estimating it to run through the 24th....if that is the case, you shouldn't have any problem.

I just want to chime in since I haven't recently. (But know that I am stalking this thread!) I'm a Disney Visa holder and my birthday is 4/17 so I will just be ecstatic if it becomes available that day!

Looks like the basic exclusions: Mermaid Rooms, Campsites, GF Villas, 3 Bedroom Villas. It is always possible that POFQ and/or All Star Movies "could" exclude at the last minute. We saw some of that happen the day before release last year. Still working...

Are you assuming the 29th because the others end on the 28th? Just curious because we are going 30 August to 6 Sept!!!!

I bought the Disney tickets that Orbitz advertised a while ago and was going to link them to my full price room with the My magic code. I was wondering if I would be eligible for FD is they offer it during the dates that we're planning on going. The travel agent told me that I might have to buy an extra ticket for each member of my family at full price to get the free dining which would be over $300 and days that I don't need. Any suggestions?

Pouring over my data, It could start on the 30th, but leaving a day or two empty doesn't seem to be of any use for them. People would just jump a day or two out and start booking then....at which point those couple of days in between would see declining bookings.

Black...is there a reason why you think it'll end on the 24th? Why wouldn't they block out the first weekend of Food and Wine and why are they only blocking out the second weekend? I know the next weekend is the TOT half marathon and I know they blocked that out the last year too.

I guess I'm being greedy, but I was really hopeful about September 26th this year because it's not the first weekend of Food and Wine festival like the 26th was last year at this time.

Is there something I'm missing in regards to the reasoning in this?

Let me know...I hope the 26th is included...how likely does it look like it will be included?

Just want to say thank you for all your efforts into our vacations. Our flight arrives on 9/20 and we plan to vacation for 14 nights and so hoping for free dining. Since you seem to have the crystal ball, our 25th anniversary vacation hopes are hopefully getting clearer and clearer within it!!! We are also Disney Visa Card holders so we will be watching for an early release. Appreciate your efforts!!!!

I booked 20-30th because by the time we decided to go in September, dining was already open for most of the month, and I have some must-do's that are deal breakers if I cant get. SO I booked and am PRAYING that the 20th is included. I have a 5:00 for Ohana and 6:45 for BOG, among other really good ADRs. I am not willing to move my dates up to get FD, and lose those, as I am looking at dates earlier there really isn't any good times left for the places we want, if at all. So I would also do a split if so, and have done before and NO, didn't have to move rooms. But I have heard that you could. I really hope it goes through 24th. If not may move the entire thing to October or November and start over.

This is very exciting, as our two check-in date options are Sept 14th and Sept 21st. Free Dining could be an option for both weeks!!

The thinking is that they may be trying to get people hooked on that event, with hopes they will come back without a discount.

We already booked for the 20-27 so I'm hopeful these dates are correct. We booked on a PIN but FD would save us almost $400 more than our PIN. Our flights are already booked and vacation time from worked locked in so we won't be switching it up if the dates are not good but eek, I'm hopeful.

you will need to buy the 2 day tickets for everyone in your party in order to get FD. If you booked with a TA, they will have to call to get the FD added.

if the 29th is not included in the September FD promo, don't give up hope as last years "Fall" FD did cover it. The dates were:

September 29 – October 2, 2013
October 18 – November 2, 2013
November 11 – 23, 2013
December 12 – 22, 2013

you would have to wait awhile for the Fall offer but still a chance your dates might get FD

Hi to all !
I'm writing from Italy and as you can imagine an holiday in the states from Europe is very expansive....
I 've already booked (even not reccomended!) from the 25th of August till the 1st of September. I could, with a bit of difficult, make a chance' and book from the 27th and ceck out 3rd. No other combinations possible....
Black,do you exclude that my dates could be included in the fd?
If yes, What do you suggest? To do a split does not seem convenient.
Any chance my travel agent could make a miracle on the phone with Disney phone operator?
I would also be willing to pay the difference for the days not covered by fd .... but I think it's not possible....
We are 4 adults and one child for a week at POR Riverside.

It would be AWESOME to have Oct 1 included in the first round. That's our arrival - and I would love to have this whole thing worked out sooner rather than later! I wasn't obsessively checking this because I figured my dates would be coming in the summer.... but I will be now!
