Is Monday the look to date for Disney Visa or for GP? And if GP Black - thoughts on Disney Visa for this Thursday?

Historically, the next set of PINS or Unique Offer Codes should be for the end of Sept-Dec time frame;) Last year those starting to show up in inboxes the first of May

Actually, I got a FD PIN in early May last year for check-in dates beginning Aug. 25.:)

I got the first pin code for free dining or room discount and hook advantage of the 30% off moderate! I thought smitch was saying that pin codes for free dining for September went out though.

You are correct, I went back and re-read the post. I missed the specific of "FD":rotfl:

I am not familiar with any FD Pins out. The last FD pin that I am aware of was only for stays thru 3/5.

smitch are you referring to FD PINS (unique codes) that cover September dates??? Can you share details and dates?:thumbsup2

Your check in date just has to fall within the offer, not the entire trip. It will just be discounted for the included nights, so if the dates for the room offer were Sept. 20-30, and your stay was Sept. 27-Oct 3, you would get a discounted rate for the nights of Sept. 27, 28, 29 and 30, and then Oct. 1 and 2 would be full price.

Thanks! So there is no need to make two reservations right? Even if one of the days is before the offer date? I was under the impression I have to make one reservation for the dates within the offer and another full price for the remaining days. This would be way easier! :)

Another question about upgrading a young child to adult status: if the child still wants to order child meals at some restaurants are they able to? Do they just make ita larger portion of the child food selection or is it still the normal child portion serving?

An adult can order off of the KM, but the portions will be KM portions.

No, I already posted a couple of pages back that the pins were just for room discounts. :goodvibes

It is important to note that not all public offers are sent out as pins, and not all pins become public offers. If pins do become public, there are often more exclusions of resorts and dates, as well. Pins tend to be broader in dates and have higher percentages off. There has been nothing released for Oct-Dec yet, and I do not expect any for a little while longer.

Hey guys, just a note that as new information arrives, I am updating the first post of this thread with all the details.

And when you do update that first post, please ensure that the range of dates included starts with my checkin of 8/22/14. Thanks Joe!

If your check in date falls prior to the deal's start date, you would need two, but if it just goes past the eligible dates, you should be okay. Unless something has changed that I don't know about. It's been awhile since I have done a room discount.

Just saw a travel agency on my Facebook feed say "Free Dining is here for fall!" Obviously that is a little shady considering the deal isn't even out yet. Plus, we all know that Disney calls September "late summer" not fall. So that just makes me laugh that this agency obviously isn't knowledgable. :rotfl2:

Several agencies do that, just going off rumors. Sad thing is people believe them and book with them. Even the top selling Disney agencies don't get official early notice.

I found a PIN code that I got last year for FD.
I received it on May 9 (the same day it was available for the general public) but the dates were a little different and it looks like it details the black out dates and it opened up dates from the beginning instead of having to wait for Oct-Dec dates for the 2nd round of GP discounts:
"Since you’ve been here before, we wanted to make it easy for you to come back and see us again. That’s why we’re serving up this scrumptious special offer! We’re even giving you lots of dates to choose from.
ENJOY A FREE DINING PLAN
when you purchase a non-discounted 5-night/5-day Walt Disney Travel Company room and ticket package at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels!

11/30–12/4/13 and 12/15–12/22/13.

Book by 8/14/13.
The number of rooms allocated for this offer is limited."

The DV offer came out on 5/6, GO on 5/9 with dates to book: 9/2 thru 9/25.
Then the 2nd round came out on 8/1 with dates to book: 9/29 thru 12/22.

Thank you Joe! Are any of your contacts speculating on a RO discount during the same time as FD? I was not sure if that is something you ask about too :)

I'm planning a trip for my 3 kids, MIL, and myself (hubby isn't a big theme park guy...). I've been pricing things out as well. We are planning on going 11/30-12/6. Was leaning towards POR as it is the east expensive option. I'm probably going to go with ASMo instead and ask for connected rooms- it will give us 4 beds, 2 bathrooms, and a little more room to spread out for about $300 more. If FD is offered, I may switch us to POR, since the difference the goes up to nearly $700. The reason I was looking at ASMo instead of the others is I've already stayed at ASMu and I think the kids will enjoy the theme more- it will be my 5yo twin boys first trip and they love toy story. We won't get a preferred room, but after the connected room request, I plan on requesting close to food court/bus stop- even if we are put somewhere other than toy story, we can still walk over and check out the giant woody and buzz :) I agree waiting is a pain- and with our trip not until Nov/Dec, we will be waiting for a while longer...

Thanks for your info I guess Asmo and Asmu are the only ones w connecting rooms ...maybe I should move this to the other thread lol

Thank you smitch! I am having a hard time keeping up this morning (now afternoon). I guess I should read through the thread from where I left off last night before I answer (but I guess it's too late):rotfl:

No worries. These FD threads always move fast. It's easy to miss things. :goodvibes

Thank you again Black!~

Can't wait to see if you can dig up some info on the date range that it will cover in September :surfweb: and if Monday will be for DV early booking or for the GP :dance3:

Should I take off my rose colored glasses :3dglasses
