if the 29th is not included in the September FD promo, don't give up hope as last years "Fall" FD did cover it. The dates were: September 29 – October 2, 2013 October 18 – November 2, 2013 November 11 – 23, 2013 December 12 – 22, 2013 you would have to wait awhile for the Fall offer but still a chance your dates might get FD

I know, just really want dates to fall now rather than later. This will be our 10th year going fall break shouldn't that count for a little pixie dust

One last push to get me to book for the summer

hahaha. We booked with a similar pin but it went through Oct 1 or something like that (sorry, I'm blurry on the details). We are staying AoA so the savings wasn't much but it was something. We are booked for Sept 20-27. Last week I got the pin you descirbed in the mail... and it said "Since you enjoyed AoA so much, come back this summer!" Uh.... what? we booked AoA for September, it didn't happen yet! I just thought that was funny.

THe first post doesn't list AoA but then says mermaid rooms are excluded. Do you think that the family suites going to be eligible or no?

Yes the family suites are eligible, but not always all of them. Some room types and locations are excluded, but far too many to keep track of. It all depends on what they need to book at the time.

I hear ya. Last year we knew we were going October 19-26th and assumed we would have to wait until July/August for FD dates. May 9th the day the September GP FD came out my sister got the Fall FD PIN and we were set; no more obessing and stressing until August 1.

I wish we were staying the 3 night minimum.....but we're staying at WDW prior to a cruise and don't have an extra 3 nights. Does anyone know if any other discounts are offered up for October? We've always done FDing....so now I'm at a loss of what to do other than book at rack rate and deal with it LOL.

I was just going to ask the same question. I saw the LM exclusion but not the family suite INclusion.

Have a group of 5 families going September 6-13 - 2 at AoA family suites and 3 at POP Century. Hoping we will all qualify for free dining - not just the POP folks.

How many days out can you change your dates without penalty? Is it 45? I have Sept booked but am thinking about moving to later fall if FD is available.

I don't think there is an ACTUAL room category minimum (other than that the campsites get excluded), however the cheaper rooms (standards) if they are offered go first. Some resorts are sold out of standards by people booking rack rate/bounceback/AAA before the offers even hit the website.

Late fall offers tend to pick up a few days after the late-summer offer leaves off....the difference being the blackout dates. Last year there was a blackout between October 3 through the 17th. If you checked in on the 2nd or 18th you were fine. Again, it's all about the check-in date.

Now your talking Booked the same offer for 14 nights of FD last December

Few years ago we had the year long PIN and booked two trips that year. Wish Disney would just do that for us planners and then just release RO/AP offers throughout the year.

Just wanted to add....

I called Disney Dining Reservations this afternoon to make ADR for Wishes Dessert Party (FINALLY!!).
CM who made my ressies was very friendly. After I was confirmed I said,
"Next hurdle .... Free Dining! The buzz is that Mon is the promo release date" (yes, I was unashamedly "fishing" for info!)

So the CM kind of snickers quietly and then says, hesitantly, "Uh, ya, um, that is the date that we've been uh, hearing tossed about as well."

From what I can tell, I am going to estimate the offer dates will run from August 29 to September 24. Again, these could vary a day or two. Looks like the basic exclusions: Mermaid Rooms, Campsites, GF Villas, 3 Bedroom Villas. It is always possible that POFQ and/or All Star Movies "could" exclude at the last minute. We saw some of that happen the day before release last year. Still working...

Oh no - i'll still be agonizing then - we check in 9/26! :-{

Hi to all !
I'm writing from Italy and as you can imagine an holiday in the states from Europe is very expansive....
I 've already booked (even not reccomended!) from the 25th of August till the 1st of September. I could, with a bit of difficult, make a chance' and book from the 27th and ceck out 3rd. No other combinations possible....
Black,do you exclude that my dates could be included in the fd?
If yes, What do you suggest? To do a split does not seem convenient.
Any chance my travel agent could make a miracle on the phone with Disney phone operator?
I would also be willing to pay the difference for the days not covered by fd .... but I think it's not possible....
We are 4 adults and one child for a week at POR Riverside.

You're english is great!!!

At the moment Black thinks the dates will run from August 29th to September 24. If you choose to travel from the 27th to the 3rd you could do a split stay. It is not very difficult. You would make a room only reservation (no tickets) for the 27th to the 29th. Then if FD starts on the 29th you would make a new reservation from the 29th to the 3rd with your park tickets on the second reservation. You need to have park tickets on your reservation to get FD. You are allowed to pick up your park tickets up to three days early so you could pick them up on the 27th when you arrive.

What does everybody else think??? Would this be the best scenario for our Italian friend??
