It's more like a puzzle than a crystal ball. Research...lots and lots of research. A little piece here, a little piece there. But everything is found on the internet...the trick is knowing what it means when you find it. :confused3 There have been those in the past that had inside info leaked to them. However, this has never been my method...just lots and lots of research. It's out there...as Pete once said on his podcast "it's the internet, that's what happens." Find all the little pieces...put them together in one place.

Thanks for all the work and time you have put into this for all of us!! It's very much appreciated. Your thread is so informative which is great because this is going to be my first time booking. I did have a couple of questions that hopefully can be answered. I'm in Canada so I need to book with the GP. I would like to book Pop and upgrade our family's dining plan. Can this be done online or do I need to make this request over the phone? Also what time of day does the website and phone lines open for GP? And lastly, I'm arranging an extended family vacation can I book for my Mom and MIL using their credit cards to get rooms close to one another or do they have to do their own arrangements? Hopefully I'm not asking something you have already answered. Thanks again for all the effort you've put in. :)

Hi!!when we call tomorrow for FD (have Disney Visa) will the CM's ask for a code number??or will we just have to tell them we have the Disney Visa???:confused3and if they ask where do we get the code from???

If you book on the last day of arrival, say Oct 3, for free dining does it matter what time you check in at the hotel? We are driving 8 hours and my DD has school that day.

Also Sept dates will be the only dates available at the moment right?

We did this last year (checked in on Oct 2 I think it was - last day of that block), driving about 8 hours after school time (or close) - you live near me? :-) (South side of Atlanta)

We got there about 11 as I recall and had no problems. Eased into the CSR lobby right in front of a bus load from the airport.

Did have a slight issue where when we got to the room we wanted a change and when I called they lost my call, so we didn't get settled for a while, but checkin was no issue.
I've read 0200 or even later is the official 'day change' for their system, but not sure. I aimed to be before midnight to be safe.

I have never done this before, so this is my first time, will the DV deal be announce or is it just something that we have to call and see if it true?

They do send out emails but they don't seem to go to everyone for some reason and most aren't received until later in the day. Your best bet is to call or look on this thread first thing. There will be a lot of people calling and everyone will start posting immediately saying whether or not it's a go!

I just talked to a representative with Disney visa and they said an email will go out May 2nd for card holders. I'll still keep checking.

Sounds like it to me. They confirmed my email so I hope I get one. I called the phone# on back of card. Went to Disney rewards and pushed 0 got a nice lady and that's what she told me.

An email for what? Are you talking about free dining or a different type promo or "reward" type of offer. Thanks.

Yep, that's the impression I got too....been waiting all day to see if anyone else had the same info, and looks like we're it.

My TA told me that it was coming out for DV card holders before I told her what I had read so I think it a go!

I rang to make a change today and indicated I was hoping to get in before the rumored rush in the morning. The cast member assured me there would be no rush in the morning and hold times will be normal (although she probably hasn't accounted for people ringing to check if it's available). So you're not the only ones
