Just to clarify, we're all here right now because we're hoping to book FD ONLINE (not via phone), correct? I'm suddenly feeling so confused and stressed :confused3

Unfortunately it's EST where I am...so it is now 11:44 pm! I have already warned my husband that if he wakes up in the middle of the night, chances are I won't be there! Even if I book at midnight, that just leaves so much more planning to do!!! If it's not up, I will be checking every half hour!! Thank goodness for Candy Crush!

Do we have a link yet? Being a Florida Resident, I'm always afraid I"m on the wrong page...lol. :rotfl2:

I'm up! Already made my reservation with a Disney Visa a few hours ago, but this is just too exciting. Was going back and forth for the past week about choosing Poly or WL from 12/14-12/28. We were super psyched for Poly until we saw all the construction pics. It was just too nervewracking for me to wait and see what might or might not be done by then. Plus the volcano pool is out until next year, with 2 kids that was pretty much the dealbreaker. Hope I made the right choice:confused3 We stayed at AKL over Christmas and loved it, WL seemed very similar when we visited for dinner. Really hoping everyone gets what they want tonight/tomorrow! :cheer2:

We have little ones (4) (2) (1) and doing deluxe and being close to the parks is very important to us. it gives us the opportunity to take breaks back at the resort if need be. we are staying at the poly this trip even though there will be some construction going on during our stay. I just love the poly so much and its so close the MK I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Once my kids get older I think we would to the BR.. walking distance to epcot and a short ferry to HS. Also both of those Deluxes would fit your family of 5.

You are so right! The first time we did WDW my girls were 8 and 9 so we really didn't need to do afternoon breaks, but I do remember doing it at DL when the kids were younger. I'm out of practise!! The 3 year old will definitely need breaks so being closer to the parks will give me a chance to take him back for a rest while hubby keeps going with the girls.
I love the Poly!! I gave made 2 dining reservations there, so that may be a good option! Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi :wave2: I'm new....well new to the DDP anyway.

I have always wanted to do it and the timing works perfect for us this year so we are planning on doing a grownup only trip. Hoping to get CSR sometime in September.

I am kind of having a mild anxiety attack aver trying to figure precisely where we will be each day (as far as parks go) so I don't end up running everyone around Disney property just for meals. I think there is an art to this that I havent figured out yet. Good luck to everyone!

I'm thinking the same thing so I devised a plan.

1- get FD plan and dates set
2- figure out Extra Magical Hours and plan park days around them
3- Look up restaurants at parks based on schedule above.

Oh gosh, my brain is on over-drive and I have more questions. Just want to say that I soooooo appreciate all of the help thus far :) We have stayed in Deluxe and Moderate, but never a Value. For those of you that have stayed in Values, and either Moderate or Deluxe, what are the main differences? Would you downgrade to a Value if that was the only way to get FD? The Values look fun but our kids are 15 and 12 and I'm afraid it will be REALLY loud with all the little kiddos. True or Not? Looking to hear from those with experience - Thanks :)

I'm doing the exact opposite! :) We've always stayed at Pop but this time I've decided to try for CSR. We love Pop but want try something new.

Here are some differences I think you'll see... Value pools do not have slides, you'll have counter service but not a table service restaurant, I think mods have coffee makers (?) but values do not, the bus pick up queue at the parks is usually farther away (seems like Pop and AOA are always at the end). But there are many positives too! The price for certain, the energy and fun level seem to be higher (I get this from visiting the deluxe resorts for meals - they just seem more subdued and fancy pants) and Pop has no other stops to and from the parks. I have never had an issue with Pop being obnoxiously loud or noisy. It's always been full of fun energy in a good way.

I'm having the worry that by moving up to a moderate that we won't feel as immersed in Disney 24/7 and that some of that fun and lively energy will be missing. I'm sure this is a stupid worry that will be made up for by having a pool with a slide though. :)

I am already planning my walk of shame to my bed when midnight hits and nothing happens.

This just made me laugh out loud! :)
