I went with AoA. I'm pretty excited even though we are doing QS. I didn't really want to be tied down to all those dinner reservations anyway! I will probably pay for one OOP.

Thats what we did too but we upgraded to the Reg Dining plan, It wasnt as good of savings as POR but it was a savings... Im excited for the kids they have never stayed at AoA.. hope yall have a magical time

We were wanting to stay in the Little Mermaid room but when I found out that it never gets FD ( a requirement of my husband) I switched us to POR.

Let me change this to what it should have said...lol. We originally booked a BB for Animal Kingdom and switched to POR. DD wanted LM, but it wasn't included for the FD offer.

TA emailed me....we got FD at PC (had to change from ASMovies). But we are not booked with FD from Aug 31-Sept 12. YAY:cheer2:

I want to hear from you families of 5 like me, what did you get and are you happy??? I can hear crickets over at POR .... :rotfl2:

Bit the bullet and upgraded to BC. The next cheapest option right after POR was AoA and that would mean DS's 17 and 22 would have to share the "table bed"! The AoA family suite came in at about $800 cheaper than BC. All the other options (incl 2 rms at POP with DP upgrade) came in somewhere in btwn AoA and BC. So we got a Gdn Rm at BC.
Our airfare was FREE with points ($1800 value) and the DP was FREE (wd have paid about $2500 to pay oop for food) So over-all the bottom line for the 9 nite/ 10 day trip with 7 park days and a WP day (left over on non-expiry tix) is $5782 and that included round trip air, more food than we can eat, deluxe resort and tix! $115 per day per person! A decent bargain IMO! The TS meals alone range from $26-40!!

This is us too. We just stayed with the QS dining and thought we'd probably pay OOP for one TS meal. Do I remember hearing all TS meals require a credit card hold now? And there is a cancellation penalty if you miss it? That was one reason that made me not particularly anxious to make a lot of TS reservations.

Did you get the RO discount? because POR isnt included in FD this time YET

After a stressful two hours I finally got a wonderful CM on the phone. Went to switch from POR to Wilderness 11/9 to 11/16 and she could NOT find the VISA free dining offer. She told me to wait until May 7th. I said....OH NO YOUR NOT! look again. She ended up finding it. I had a minor freak out. But ended up booking two Wilderness Lodge rooms with FREE DINING! :cool1:

How in the world is there a CM who didn't know about this offer?! Lol!!

We are staying at the Grand Floridian. Our oldest will be a senior and DH is worried this could be our last trip as a complete family. :goodvibes

I hope that the mass exodus opens up POR for the wonderful DISers on this thread!

Aww good for yall... YES im praying every day it DOES :dance3:

That is AWESOME!!!! :yay: We have been planning on getting two of our five flights free with points. I just checked this morning when I was ready to book and Delta has raised the flights we need from 25,000 pts to 32,500. I swear they see that someone has been looking at them and raised it!!! Not sure what we will do now....darn them.

We are suprising our kids with this trip, anyone else doing a surprise trip??
still on hold... total 2 hours and 55 minutes

I'm still waiting to hear back from my TA- we're going on a cruise but surprising our kids with WDW before! They know I booked one night at POP, just for fun, the night before the cruise.

What they don't know is we are staying for 4 nights before the cruise!!!! Yippee- our first trip to WDW!!!!

But we are from CA so this is a huge vacation for us and FD would be so helpful!!!

Ugh!! That is what happened to me. They told me Oct. 3 was only check in date for Oct. I specifically said Oct. 26 and she said nothing past Oct. 3 period. I told her online people said they booked for Dec. Now I am on the phone trying to get Oct. 26 instead of Oct 3. Been on hold 42 min. Will be sold out by the time I get thru.

They won't sell out, you'll get what you want!!! I just know it! (it can happen!)
