Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

Long time lurker, first time poster here! Thanks so much to Black and all the wonderful people on this thread! I called at 6:59 am this morning and was on the phone for an hour and 40 minutes before I needed to hang up and go to the gym.
After we came back, I was on hold for 40 minutes before talking to a wonderful CM named Mary.
We got CSR - King Room with free dining! Sept. 22- Oct. 2! So very excited!

Looking at my reservation in MDE, it says MYW Pkg + Dining

It does not say Free Dining or Visa dining.

Is this right?

Wait for your email to verify. MDE is super screwed up right now and showing tons of inaccurate stuff.

I believe MDE just shows what your actual package is (which would mean it's correct) but the email will show 'Visa dining' or something like that. If the email and money matches I'd let it go.

I see some people posting about a room only discount, did that discount just come out for fall?

Also, I already booked rooms the other day with dining. I did not pay with Disney Visa. Will they just apply the free dining today if I tell them my Disney Visa number, or do they have to do a wholw new ressie?

I booked deluxe, so I expect the Room only will be a better discount, if it is so does anyone know how much?

We got a BB offer for FD for a moderate. We looked into LM but it wasn't included for the offer.

Room discount is out through 10/3 - they can apply the discounts but will need to take a fresh deposit on your DV if you haven't made a payment with it previously. If you are going from a RO res to a pkg they will cancel and rebook entirely.

Hey there! SO excited and it's a new resort for us. We requested the Cabanas section. Have you been before?

i was on hold for an hour. Had to cancel an existing reservation and then create a new reservation. Instead of getting FD we went with POR Sept 13-17 in a Royal Room, and it cost $753.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my TA- we're going on a cruise but surprising our kids with WDW before! They know I booked one night at POP, just for fun, the night before the cruise.

What they don't know is we are staying for 4 nights before the cruise!!!! Yippee- our first trip to WDW!!!!

But we are from CA so this is a huge vacation for us and FD would be so helpful!!!

Awww thats soooo exciting! We have all been before except my niece this is her first time and my 15 year old knows but the two little ones DO NOT.. we are going to tell them we are going to the beach.. HAHA

Just reporting a happy booking!! My AAA agent was on hold for about 1 hr 20 minutes (total call about 1 hr 45). Booked CSR with free dining for our family of 5 for September. Was hoping to book POR b/c it's one of the mods we haven't been to (not really sure I want to stay at CBR, but we LOVED Coronado).

Already made our ADRs a few weeks ago, except HDDR.

Just called now and hold time was less than 2 mins.

Booked AS Sports 11/9 - 11/16 but hoping for AoA opens up for LM.

Total time was less than 10 mins. Impressive.

Hope it's warn enough since I added water and hopper.

I want to hear from you families of 5 like me, what did you get and are you happy??? I can hear crickets over at POR ....

We opted for two rooms at POP. Still can't believe we're paying $800 more for POP than POR because we upgraded the dining plan!! Fingers crossed and hoping that POR will be released for GP. I'll try then, too, just in case. If not, we'll be happy at POP anyway.

got through finally! called 407-939-5277 and after i answered the prompts got through to an agent right away talked to a super nice lady who changed our room only from a pin to the free dining 9/2-9/9
had to switch from CS to CBR because my friend is in a wheelchair and CS is out of wheelchair rooms
i have never stayed at either resort so excited to try something new, bring on the food!
