Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 2

I'm in my bathroom, trying to get ready for work, with my cell phone listening to Disney hold music and my laptop on the counter. My breath catches every time there is a pause with the hold music. I'm trying to stay away from the laptop, as the online offer seems like a lost cause, at least for now. But, I can't stay away. I bet I don't have a chance at getting to work on time, and I don't know what I'm going to do once it's time to get my dd ready for school--something along the lines of "you're on your own, kid". :crazy2:

Haha! Couldn't help but laugh. This is exactly what I've been doing. :rotfl2:
 
I was able to book online. CBR Nov. 15-23, standard room. It said preferred were sold out. Thanks everyone and good luck!
 

I can get through the website but the only value resort available is All Star Sports... we don't like sports

Got through online and was able to select POP free dining, but when I click Continue/Add Dining Plan it says "Server Is Busy" - yeah...I bet it is!
 
Booked online just now, CBR 9/11-19/11 with free dining. Not my preferred moderate but for 10 days of free dining it's worth the move.

Now just have to call and cancel my previous reservation, and see if they will shift the deposit over to this new one.
 
And now it's back on the SO page but the server is still busy when I try to choose the dining plan.

Is it always like this? This is nuts.
 
For those of you wondering why you have waited for so long and others have gotten right through,....

Disney has different "lines" to speak with a CM.

Do NOT tell them you want to modify an account or an existing reservation, you go to the "let them wait we already have their money" line. (Actual name may differ, but attitude is not)

Tell them you want to make a NEW reservation, you go to a different, and faster, line.

When you get to that sweet CM to make that "new reservation" tell them whatever you want, you have them on the line now.

Okay, I am actually shaking right now! I called right when the lines were up. Call was answered immediately. As soon as I hit the button to call a cm answered, no prompts. We got AOA, only switch was from Nemo suites to Cars suites. FREE DINING!!! And a total savings of $1,059.7. BUT with previous changes we have saved a total of... are you ready for this $2,385.36 Whole process took less than 5minuets! Sending good vibes your way!

Wow what a great savings, did you change from a mod to a value, I checked it out and did not find a savings like that.

I GOT IT!!!!!!!! And I've gotten my confirm email, AND it's showing up in MDE.

I was finally able to book CSR from the Disney website on the special offers page.

I now need a Xanax or something. (no, I've never taken any, but I feel completely wrung out.) Crap, and I still have ADRs to do. :scared::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:
