I got that one too....really wanting free dining, but its not going to work out if POR is excluded as being told.

We'll seems as thought there are a lot of variations of what Disney intended with some being able to book before others for one reason or another. What I am trying to remember, as much as I want free dining, that it's not an entitlement to have free dining, it's a blessing. Sure, I wish I was the one who got the cast members This morning who let it go through but I will hold tight and hope for to the best and that I am able to be at one of the resorts that are included on my list thanks to those who are reporting back their experiences and thank to those who are staying positive! It's easy to turn into catty boys and girls as anxiety runs high but that's not what this is all about! Pixie dust to all!!!

Out of curiosity (for a complete WDW newbie!), is there a limited number of Free Dining plans that are available? Do they "sell out"/"run out"? You know...like they will only let the first X number of people book with Free Dining? Or are you guys just worried the particular resort you want to stay in will fill up before you can get booked?

We've already booked our room in Kidani so Free Dining would just be a very pleasant bonus surprise for us, but it's not a make or break kind of deal. I guess I'm just getting caught up in all the excitement of you guys trying to get booked ASAP, and I'm wondering if that means there's a chance no more Free Dining will be available by the time the General Public gets access. (We don't have a Disney Visa Card.)

It's clear what happened... Chase gave out codes before Disney is willing to accept it. A few individuals got the promo via luck between Chase and Disney not communicating. Once a few promo's got booked, Disney was alerted.

Patience... it's been relatively confirmed that there is a Free Dining promo coming tomorrow. Isn't that enough to celebrate??? Yay!!!

Thats exactly it...coming over from other page...The rep that applied mine when i called said it took the code and processed and my reservation now says MYW package +FREE dining on it ...what it did do was not allow the remaining balance to process...I spoke to them again and it is because the discount comes out tomorrow...it will process in 24 hrs he said but I have it and am not going to lose it and anyone else will be able to add it or book it tomorrow at 7am...I have friends going with me that did not get it on their package yet because they dont have the Visa and they told me they can get it on the 7th...so while I think they might have released it this afternoon somehow internally I think they just arent supposed to use them until tomorrow. i think everyones going to be safe getting it

0 chance, .. and honestly they shouldn't it isn't the bookers fault cause they read disboards and the CM booked it.. No offence if they booked GF for a price of 25$ a night on accident.. it would be honored.. and should be.. EVERYONE .. EVERYONE makes mistakes.. they took advantage of the CM who might not have info.. so be it.. I TOOK FULL advantage of the Target 20% off Gift card sale last yr.. Sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't ..

Is it possible that the code starting with V is for value resorts and the code staring with D is for deluxe. Then maybe no mods are eligible or that code is coming later?....hmmmmm

Its not a matter of having a limited amount of dining plans, its the rooms. They may only have a limited amount of rooms at each eligible resort that is attached to free dining.

Update on Resort Exclusions:
Art of Animation Mermaid Rooms
Port Orleans French Quarter
Port Orleans Riverside
All Star Movies
Campsites
Grand Floridian Villas
3 Bedroom Villas

This means Suites at Art of Animation are at play (I'm so glad).

There is also news of room discounts coming as well, and may include some of the resorts excluded from free dining. However, they are quite limited and quite confusing.

When asked about details on the RO, this is what he said "From what I've been told, they run only into October and are very confusing. There are different percentages for different resorts and even different dates."


I guess it's a possibility that some RO discounts come out tomorrow, too. I am really hoping they will be out for December tomorrow!

I'm booked @ Coronado Springs and got a no on the code. The CM told me to call back "any time after tomorrow" to add the code - yeah, right...I'll be on the phone first thing in the morning
