This ad just popped up on a website I was on. Click on it and it doesn't bring you to anything...yet.

Hey I remember this. I even have a video on my YouTube channel. I don't remember hook, but Peter Pan and Wendy and Alice and white rabbit....it was Kong Stefan's Banquet Hall then.

This was still CRT and I don't remember any of the other characters you mentioned. It was my first trip with my inlaws probably around 00/01ish?

I HATE that they use that 5/6 verbiage in their ads!!! There will be a thousand people on here tomorrow who will now ask what the minimum booking is or who will insist that the WDW website says it is a 5 night minimum booking for free dining. This is for advertising purposes only!

Just for the record, all FD promos have a 3 night minimum and 14 maximum booking :-)

I may be interested in Ohana but is breakfast really only this limited menu?

Hua Paka (Scrambled Eggs) - made fresh, hot & delicious

Uala Kahiki (Fried Potatoes) - island-style potatoes, caramelized onions & scallions

Pua'a (Pork) - pork breakfast sausage links & smoked bacon

Assorted Warm Breakfast Breads

Seasonal Fruit Bowl for na Keiki (Kids)

Unlimited Orange Juice, Milk and Coffee included

I don't know why but that just doesn't seem like much or a variety to me but perhaps my view is skewed since I'm not a breakfast fan?

Get ready for lots of questions tomorrow morning everybody!!!

Our ADR's:

Friday - early Flying Fish dinner (arrival day!)
Saturday/Sunday -rest our stomach days
Monday - San Angel Inn lunch
Tuesday - lunch at Akershus, dinner at Garden Grill (one twin bday celebration day)
Wednesday - Yak & Yeti
Thursday - lunch at Crystal Palace, dinner at BOG before MNSSHP (other twin's bday celebration day)
Friday - dinner at Jiko (have made ADR's here last two trips, but always had to drop for one reason or another)

Would love to throw in a Cal Grill on Sat or Sun, if they open before we arrive. It's a family favorite. But, then again... our eyes are always bigger than our stomachs and we end up with more ADR's than we want by the end of the trip! :sad2:

Already had to skip booking Whispering Canyon and Boma this trip- two of our favorites. If I'd just add a few more days to the vacation, I know I could solve this problem!!

Long time lurker here... Just wanted to say I feel so at home with everyone obsessing over these promos (and in general around here, even though I never post). Keeping up with this thread has been a blast.

I'm too excited to sleep. Have had this trip planned for months now (my cousin is getting married in WDW mid-September... another bonus - I have always wanted to attend a Disney wedding!!), and have been doing my best to slash costs for my party. Fingers crossed that we get what we want (booked at POR, hope to keep it), and that everyone else does as well! I'm staying for a week... Haven't been able to do that in a looooong time. I am beyond excited, and I haven't even hit the four months left mark. No one around me really knows what to do when I get the Disney Crazy Eyes. Luckily I do know some folks who understand.

Anyways, also want to say a huge, huge, huge thank you to all who have posted info & tips.

I have a question for everyone. I was wondering if any of you had end of Aug reservations, but changed them to Sept when you found out the FD dates? I would love to change our dates, but as DS is now in middle school, he had sooooo much work to make up this past Oct when we took both our kids out of school. I would do it again, but it was very hard for him. I'm more curious than anything about people switching dates.

We switched our dates to get the FD with the Visa offer. It was no problem at all :)

I don't know, I've never been there but I'm trying it.

Actually we're diabetics (both sides, genetic) so eggs/coffee/a piece of bread or a little fruit is good for me and my DH & sons are happy as long as there's meat on the table.

The breakfast buffets certainly seem to have much more variety, but for how we eat it's pretty much a waste to go to a buffet if it isn't free. We're really just in it for the characters.

I've had the impression for a very long time that if I start posting, I will never stop. Ever. With the impending trip, though, all I want to do is talk the Dis. My fam that I'm traveling with, friends, coworkers... they're all already sick of it. Little do they know I'm only ramping up. I can barely contain myself when I'm there 1-3 days, let alone 7 (maybe 9!). I have a feeling I'll be at rope drop every morning when the rest of my group are barely even awake. I'M READY.

I have also been lurking too. Couldn't even sleep waiting to book our FD!!!

Here is my experience with 'Ohana's breakfast. Yes, it is that limited and if you are not a breakfast fan, you will leave hungry. I generally am not a breakfast eater and I have to say, I did not enjoy my breakfast there. My husband and kids really enjoyed their meal, me, not so much. The only worse breakfast I have ever had at WDW is Akershus, that was seriously worse than eating Alpo. We did it for my daughter and the Princess experience but I will never, ever go there again. 'Ohana I would go back to, for my family's sake.

We just got in to my inlaws here in MD... 5:30am. In going to bed but set my alarm so I can avoid the wait later and get it over with. Ill just go back to bed when I'm done.

coffee in one hand, phone on the other. ready to call..now just have to wait a little more

Still up working, pulling an all nighter.

Also have Breakfast at Tiffany's on in the background as I do some monotonous work sorting through stuff.

I'm just waiting to call.
