Nope! I have never had the pleasure! I am sure we will enjoy him :)
Have you used the bus service at POR or your own car? How efficient are the POR buses? We will have a car but it is my vacation I do not want to have to drive :thumbsup2

Slower than at the values. But the bus stops are in shade with benches and you don't line up. All the buses stop and you just get on the one you want. I like it better because no waiting in lines out in the hot sun. A little slower at times but more comfortable.

I had one number saved in my phone then was double checking today to get everything ready and noticed a different one on line.

I have 4 numbers saved in my phone:
1-407-939-7211
1-407-939-6244
1-407-939-7675
1-407-934-7639
Not sure which one to use!!!!

I used 1-407-939-7741 on monday and when I originally booked the trip in January...... maybe they have many numbers.... but that one worked for me!

We have dining booked as:

Aloha (after we get FD and do the upgrade)
CP (for son's birthday breakfast HUGE pooh fan)
T-Rex for lunch
Chef Mickey's for dinner
1900 Park Fare for dinner (love the step sisters)
Tuskers for breakfast

Is there anything else I should consider for son's birthday week?

Garden Grill is nice. It's a circle restaurant that turns as you are dining but you can not physically tell until you look up and see a different view. Chip, Dale and I think Mickey are there.

Rainforest Cafe is nice as well located outside of AK or at DTD so you don't need to use a park day to eat there. No characters but quite a show if you have never been there.

Thank you so much we were wondering about garden grill. We have been to rainforest but at the time my son was 5 and very scared so we will have to see if 5 yrs makes any difference.

I'm a terrible influence. Whenever I go shopping with friends, they spend tons of money. My friend I brought to Disney last year spent over $700 after she got down there. And we had the dining plan, so it wasn't food.

Only $700? What, you were only there a couple days or you kept your friend too busy to do much shopping?? ;)

Hollywood and vine for Disney Jr breakfast.

I can't wait until DH makes reservation tomorrow for Sept 7-14. I am obsessing over decision! Have stayed at GF, WL, and Pop in past. Kids favorite WL. We are doing 7 night cruise on Sept 14th and are trying to keep resort stay costs down. One DD says she will stay at POR if we get Royal Room but DH doesn't like that there are no ceiling fans! I can't take the pressure... I think I need a padded room!

He's going to be 10, do they have a diverse age group there? We like disney jr at home when our baby nephew is over, but I'm afraid he will say no it's for baby's and we will be out an ADR.

I want a marvel, toy story, or star wars character dining!!

Toy Story was discussed, but it was determined that it would be too difficult for the characters to safely move throughout the restaurant. They decided against it in favor of the Playhouse Disney meal (now Disney Junior).

I would say that character meal is aimed at the preschool set, definitely for younger kids.

Btw, Joe, you might not be Batman, but the cape & tights mental pic is still running through my head & making me giggle :happytv:
