Free Dining 2013 Part 2 ~ The Sequel

Called AGAIN, yesterday, after not doing so for a week or so. Still no pin.
Like I said, we're set if we don't get one...it would just be to add our first night to DDP...but it would be nice.
Once again, got a nice CM who knew exactly what I was asking and checked both me and the whole household. I've had pretty good luck getting non-cranky CMs.
She said to keep calling back...so I'll hold her to that! LOL

:cool1::cool1:

I am feeling July 8th for Visa holders and the 11th for the GP. Anyone with me? ;)

Of course, I know absolutely NOTHING and am purely trying to keep my PINless self entertained!:dance3::dance3:

Can't wait for your official info Joe!:cool2:

In the past three years, the releases have varied from as early as July 6 and as late as August 3.

Let's analyze this shall we?

2010 - September Free dining released May 3
Late fall free dining released July 6

2011 - September free dining released May 2
Late fall free dining released August 3

2012 - September free dining released March 1
Late fall free dining released July 12

Given the later releases of promos this year, I'm looking for that trend to continue. Let's focus on sometime around the July 25-August 1 range.

Did you all see that sea world up'd their prices again. I was there in march 2012 and paid $75/adult and $70/kid. Now its up to $92/day....that's crazy. In 1 yr the price went up $22.

I would not pay that kind of money to go to Sea World. I wouldn't pay it to go to Disney. Good thing we get 10 day passes which makes daily expense cheaper. I hate that even local amusement parks are becoming to expensive for the average person to take a large family to. So sad!

I hated paying the money last year to go. IMO its not worth that kind of money. If it wasn't for the disney pkgs, we wouldn't be able to afford to go. And it also helps that you can pay installments to pay it off.
We have Hershey Park near us and its $60 or $70/day to get in. Thats abdurd! I won't go until both of my kids are big enough to ride everything in that park. Otherwise, its not worth it.

Today was the kids last day of school! We're that much closer to our October trip!!!

I usually am a reader and rarely a poster, but I can't help myself on this one! how exciting!

I am a single mom, and the one thing I really splurge on every year is a trip with my two children 9 & 5 to Disney. It's always been one of those things I have been able to take pride in budgeting for and I know my kids will look back on and remember doing with me while they were young.

I was really discouraged this year, not getting a pin (I rarely have over 7 years of travelling to Disney!) and then hearing rumors we may not get a discount.

For someone like me (and I am sure many of you as well) it makes or breaks my trip to get free dining (or something equivalent).

I am doing my happy dance at work today! This post just totally made my day!

:cheer2:

When you do start taking the kids to Hershey be sure to look for discounted tickets. We have never paid full price. I know AAA for one has discounted tickets. :)

Yeah my husband and I went all the time before we had kids and that's what we used to do. But thank you for reminding me!

Question...I got the photopass plus...how does that work with the ride photos.? Do we just hand them our plus card and hand it to the cm at the photos?

Oh and by the way...OUR TRIP IS PAID OFF!!! We are doing the happy happy dance!!! Come on October!!! 137 more days!!

The way I understood it, this is our first time with plus, is that you identify your photo, such as at Splash Mountain, and then hand over card to photo CM to scan and it and it will then show up with all your other photos on your card. So, I believe you do not get the actual photo that day, but it is on your card. However, my understanding is like at chef mickey's, you show them your card when they bring photo around and they will just give you the photo.;)

Edit: "by on the card", I mean when you put card # into photopass all your photo's will appear.

Is anybody else going crazy keeping up with two threads? Now I am NEVER going to get anything done! It's too addicting; what have you done to me, Joe?:crazy2:

We used Photopass + in Oct. It was great. For the ride photos... At the end of the ride you go to the kiosk where they have the photos for sale. You hand them your card. They are there when you get home. It's great! So worth the extra money upfront. Preorder the photopass+ before you go, if yo haven't already. You save about $50.
