Free Dining 2013 Part 2 ~ The Sequel

Look slike another round of PINS went out this morning - I just got one!! (My trip is already booked during GP FD anyway, but just wanted to give hope to anyone still waiting!)

I agree

This is very frustrating to me. A lot of people plan their vacations well in advance. It seems a lot of other destinations plan for that and bring out their promotions well in advance so you know what you are paying for. I don't understand why Disney can't start their fall promos earlier.

It would be nice to plan a trip and not have to fret about discounts and having to keep looking daily to see if there is a "special pin" to get discounts and then hope later for a general public code if you were not special enough to get a pin. I am sure the travel planners at Disney would be happier too as they would not have to hear people call looking for that pin on a daily basis.

This whole thing makes planning so frustrating

I'm impatiently waiting for (hopefully) the gp announcement too. At least we know they are still trying to fill rooms so maybe that bodes well for an eventual announcement even if we have to wait until August. I hate wishing the summer away but I'm ready to know something one way or another!

I know I have been MIA but trying to sort life out. I have missed you guys though! Only 89 days until WDW! I cannot wait. I hope you have all been good and not had too much fun without me. There is no way I will EVER catch up. :rotfl2:

Spreading pixiedust: to everyone still waiting on FD. It sucks to wait.

Welcome Back!!!:banana::banana:

As for me :badpc: Stuipd PINs, cannot get one of these!

:badpc::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Right there with ya!

Me too!!:rolleyes1

For the free dining promo that "might" come out for late fall-do they ALWAYS open it up to Visa card holders first??? And then GP?

I believe it has went Disney Visa first except for 2010, when it went straight to GP

Edit: When it goes GP, they open up more rooms. And they have even opened up more rooms later in the day/evening the same day of promo offer for DV and GP.

Hi everyone, Kind of off topic.... I posted on another thread these questions below...Can you all help me with any of the answers. I know I have read about it before but now can't remember where. Thanks:)

Questions? How do the BBs work? This will be our first time staying on property in Oct at BC and understand there might be an offer in our room? Do you have to book before you leave? A deposit required? When are the most likely dates for it....Like for example, do we have to come back within the year or that same week in Oct.? Thanks. I know there probably is a BB thread but thought you guys might know.

Hi! and yes, you have to book before you leave and there is a $200 deposit. The BB is usually for the same time period (month) that you are currently traveling for the following year, however if you speak personally with the CM, I have read that they MIGHT allow bookings 18-24 months out.:goodvibes

BBs are offers that Disney provides to get you to return. In Oct, the BB will likely be a FD offer for dates in mid-Aug-mid to late Sept. 2014. It must be booked before you check out of the resort (no exceptions), and you can only book more than one room if you have more than one adult in your current room. The deposit would be the normal $200 for a FD stay. You do not have to stay on the same resort for the future trip, and they can be modified later, but it usually involves being transferred to guest services because regular CMs can't access the BB availability. If there is a BB, it will be property wide in terms of who can book. If you don't see any information in your welcome packet, just call ext. 8844 from your room and see if there is an offer available. That is also the number to call to book the BB.

This is incorrect. There are really only 2 BB periods. If you travel Jan-Aug, you will be offered a room discount for select dates through the end of the current year. Then in Aug/Sept-Dec, the BB switches to a FD deal for the following Aug/Sept. I have never heard of any instance where they book any further out than the offered dates. They are set dates with no wiggle room just like all other offers.

You are right:), I was just talking about Aug-Dec. and I read in a book that if you ask "nicely" they may let you do the BB within 2 years and that they have even given some folks extra time to book their BB. Just paraphrasing from a book and we do know that Disney does do things from time to time that are not typical...like offering FD without and PIN and even calling people at random to offer FD.;)

Okay! Thanks!:thumbsup2 I am going to go ahead and look at our calendars and see what might work for us if it is offered. Do you know what happens if you have to move it at a later time? Do you just lose the offer?
