Free Dining 2010 Dates???

Only if there is availability at your chosen resort during your time frame.

How is this determined? For example, if we book now for a week at CBR during free dining dates, and we call the day that FD is released, are we pretty likely to be eligible? I would think we would be *more* likely than someone who waits to book until after FD has been announced...is this a reasonable assumption?

I'm hoping for August 15 also. Was planning a trip for May 22 but unfortunately our Missouri weather has ruined that plan. The kids will have to make up snow days until after Memorial Day. Hoping we can get a free dining trip in before school starts back up.

The free dining offer for UK residents runs from 5th July to 18th November. Whether those dates will be available to everyone is anyone's guess.

Disney will set x amount of rooms at each resort based upon room availability.

I'm pretty sure it is first come first served on the day of release. I don't think having a reservation will help you be ahead of anyone else.

But someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this.

I agree. Having a reservation at a certain resort during Free Dining wouldn't increase your chances of getting it any more than someone who called the same day. The only thing it may help you with is being sure you actually GET a room during Free Dining. :)I believe it is a first-come first-serve basis for those who call ..it wouldn't matter if you were calling to book a new reservation or add it on to one you already have.

Simply put - say they release 200 rooms at CBR for Free Dining. The first 200 people that call to book free dining there will get it...it won't matter if they already have a room reservation or they were booking a new one. HTH. :)

This is absolutely true. The only thing having a reservation in place already does is a) allow you to be paying for it alreay before the special is released and b) makes it quicker to firm up your free dining the morning the special is announced.

You will keep your same reservation number, but in essence they cancel the original, rebook and move your payments from one to the other.
