does anyone know if this is likely or if so when it would be annnounced, we have to cancel this years holiday because DH is having surgery, we need to cancel by July or lose our depositand i seem to recall it was august last year when free dining was announced. Obviously we would rather not lose £500 deposit but if we could gain free dining by doing so this would still be worth it. Hope this makes sense! Any thoughts anyone?? Gill

if it will be ofered there will be bounceback first,this is for people staying there onsite,last year it was 31st aug onwards,then there was the uk offer october/november
Then genral public for usa people, which was mid april this year which you can book direct with disney usa

Well, this is what is on our Virgin invoice in regards to this year's free dining:

Free Disney Dining Plan offer terms and conditions: Applies to departures 10 August 2008 through to 27 September 2008, for bookings made 23 August to the 6 November 2007.

So, look out for the offer, if it's going to happen, at the end of August. At least with Virgin anyway! Perhaps this year we may be able to book our next holiday before we've even been on our current one!

you could switch to a fly drive for now, and then if free dining is announced you can book the room package with Disney UK.

We did this when free dining was announced by Disney USA, switched are package with VH to a fly drive (admin charge 25 per person) and then booked are room with Disney USA.
