Free Dining 2008 Watch

We did eleven nights last year and ten the year before. I know that you can only get up to a 10 day park ticket, but I am not sure what the upper limit on room nights is. I believe I have heard of people doing as many as 14 nights.

We did 14 nights last year and we checked in the last day the FD was offered - saved over 1500.00! :yay:

OK, Please tell me if I'm right, or if I'm wrong, what it is.

If free dinning is offered. I will then reserve a room for the length of our stay at rack rate, I will also have to have the package deal (theme park tickets) Do I need to buy the entire length of days that we want to visit the parks, or just 1 day base? The Undercover Tourist website saves $$ on the tickets. I'm not sure that it's worth the trouble to buy from UT and just buy them from Disney in the package. Please advise.

Since you'll have to buy at least a one-day base from Disney, it'll be cheaper for this visit if you just upgrade those tickets to the ones you want. The discount from UT can't offset the need to purchase the one-day base.

I'm confused by why you would only get a 1-day ticket. Don't you have to have a ticket to get into the park and eat?? I'm still new at this, so don't be annoyed, I'm learning.

Someone enlighten me.

Since you would be required to purchase a one day base ticket I dont think the savings from UG will be worth it.....

You lose money if you buy a 1 day ticket for the package and the balance of your days for U.T. Because WDW tickets per day cost get lower, the more days you add on. If you split your ticket purchase, you are essentially paying for two Day 1 tickets. Better off just buying the days you need with your package.

Someone that already has a ticket through an Annual Pass of Fl Resident Pass might still want to take advantage of free dining. They would then buy a 1-day pass at $70+ and eat free for a week (or longer) for that. Still cheaper than paying the dining.

You or me would just by a length of stay ticket.

I wanna know if anyone can help. i am going in june to the world and also during the rumored dates for free dining in august, i have a room only which i have to add at least a 1 day MYW to make it a package so im eligible for the rumored free dining, My question is can i take that 1 day MYW ticket from my august package and pay the difference for an AP so i can use the AP in June and august without losing the free dining in august because i wont have the 1 day MYW anymoreplease help:banana:

not really, a one day ticket is about 70, if you have an annual pass and get the ticket and lets say that you are staying for 5 days-each day spending more than 40 dollars on sit down and snacks youll spend about 250. compare that and the ticket, you save $$$

No - you won't have access to the 1-day ticket until you check in in August. No way you can use a ticket in June that you don't have. Just save the ticket in August for future use.

will i be able to not use that 1 day ticket and just use the AP and then apply that 1 day ticket to a renewal pass or some other MYW if i choose not to renew

I bought the package with the 1 day ticket to reduce the amount I have to pay when the balance is due. I will upgrade our tickets once we get to WDW.

Hi all,
I am so frustrated that we do not have the free dining codes yet. I am flying to Disney tomorrow with my elderly grandparents for 4 nights, but I am planning an 11 day trip with another family in August and we are waiting for the free dining. I hope that I will be able to manage driving to the airport while trying to book. Also, I am so afraid that the codes will come out once I have already left the house for the airport.

Just venting

:surfweb: (this is me ALL weekend)

Has anyone received something from Visa, either via e-mail or snail mail, regarding Free Dining? We've gotten nothing so far and I'm not sure if we'll be able to book it tomorrow without a code from Visa. I can't remember when or how we got the code last year.
Someone posted the code AYG a while back. Is that the same for all Disney Visa holders?:confused3

I honestly do not think anyone is going to hear anything until tomorrow. If it would come earlier I am certain it won't be until CRO is closed for the night. ;)
