I am a Disney Visa card holder. I just wasn't sure if I had to sign up to receive the emails or if I would automatically get them.

What ever email you gave to disney visa will get the offers. But last year I did not receive any email offers about free dining. I did get an email in 2005 and 2006. We do get offers emailed to us but the csr at disney visa says not every dv card holder will get information on every offer. You should check the dv website for the offers listed there.

Is it typical that Disney announces an offer the day its made available as opposed to giving some advance notice?

I called Disney to ask this question and the CM said "No" but I thought I would ask hear just in case.

If I call on Monday to book a room with FD, can I book a second room for my friend and her family? She is not a DV card holder.

You probably can book a room for her BUT you'd have to put her deposit on your card I'm sure.

She can book a package now and then call back when the code goes public and apply to her account.

So what's everyones game plan? I mean it's not really official- are you all planning on calling 1st thing Monday at 7 or will you wait and confirm? I hate not knowing what to do....and waiting

I don't even know why I am watching this thread. I WAS booked for 8 nights @ CSR using a 30% discount from Aug 26 - Sept 2 but I changed my dates last week to August 12th - August 20th because my oldest is going off to College on Aug 22nd and wouldn't be able to go during our original dates.

Then the other day I read about the rumored FD dates and just about cried I keep telling myself that I did the right thing so he could go with us but it is hard I am still holding out hope that FD will start on August 10 just like the offer for the UK

I hope that everybody who wants FD gets FD!!!

I cant believe I am the first to post this. My Mom is a travel agent. She recieved an email this morning from her Disney Rep. Here are the details for 2008 Free Dining. 08/24/08 - 09/20/08. Disney Visa holders can book on 04/07/08 with code AYG...General public opens up on 04/10/08...sorry she didnt give me hte code for this one, as I have been waiting for the Disney visa code.

Oh dont be sad.....I am going to be in the same situation for the next bunch of years.....this is probably our last chance to get free dining. (or at least thats what I tell myself to justify everything I do and spend lol) It is great that you are all going together and I would HATE not having all my kids with me.
