Free Dining 2008 Watch

I was comparing to what I already have booked with Disney. It is reflected on thier web site right to the penny !

Sooooo good to know. I love to have everything completely planned out (um, I guess so does everyone on these boards, huh?)! :yay:

No problem at all for posting the details. We are in South Jersey and my Mom's Disney rep emailed all of her agents right after lunch letting them know it was coming.

The email did not say anything about checking in on the last day and getting Free dining for the duration of your stay. I am waiting for that too as we are booked 9/20 - 9/27 @ Pop.

I am actually booked through AAA as their MYW + Dining vaca price was better than booking through Dis w/ a code attached to my name. I did go into their office today and my AAA rep called Dis, and they said they didnt know about hte code yet, but if I was a Dis Visa holder to call back on 4/7 for booking details.

Do you know if it will be available to value, moderate and deluxe resorts? There was a rumor it would only be available for moderates and deluxes.

will the dining plan work with reservation with
AAA or do I need to cancel that and make a new one?

I will call my MOm in the morning to get the exact wording. It basically stated that she knew her travel agents were on the look out for the free dining promo and she gave them the details. It did NOT say that values were excluded.

The email did not mention any discount on the DxDDP. Based on hte bounceback offer, I was toying with the idea of upgrading to the deluxe dining.

I cant believe I am the first to post this. My Mom is a travel agent. She recieved an email this morning from her Disney Rep. Here are the details for 2008 Free Dining. 08/24/08 - 09/20/08. Disney Visa holders can book on 04/07/08 with code AYG...General public opens up on 04/10/08...sorry she didnt give me hte code for this one, as I have been waiting for the Disney visa code.
Good Luck to all.

Awesome! This works wonderful I may even add in another day! Make it 8/25 thru 8/31 and due universal on 8/23 and 8/24!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Thank You Thank You Thank You if you get the code for the General public can you please post!!

Quote "is the pricing basically the same thing I see on the Disney.com site >"

My price is the same as on line minus the free dining....

So does this mean if I have 3 people at adult price and 1 at child price I would save apprx $764 ??????????? Just wondering if I fiigured this out right since I never did this before! As long as I'm in the ball park I know im on the right track! Thanks! And I have to add my MIL do that will be a fourth adult making that apprx $996 for 6 nights???? Any insight would be great! Thanks in advance! this is based on 5 or 6 nights! I know it would be a lil less for 5 nights I did this based on 6. Just basically want to know if I'm on the right track? seems to good to be true since I already have a 30% discount this would squash that!

Thanks for the info? Did it say what was the minimum amounts of nights you had to stay to get free dining?
Thanks,
PammyPoppins

Just don't forget to add the surcharge to your room rate for having more than 2 adults in your room. And, be sure to add her ticket price back to the equation.

Wow - this is exciting!:lmao: :dumbo:

We did FD at the end of September 2006 (yes, during the Food & Wine Festival) and our trip STARTED on the last day FD was offered although we had FD the entire trip (through 10/05/2006).

We are booked for 9/21 - 9/29 @ POP. I booked through Disney with 40% off room rates.

If I changed my reservations for 9/20 - 9/29 do you think we would get FD for the entire vacation again since our vacation STARTS the last day FD is offered?

Would I need to pay full price for our rooms for our stay?

Should I just go to AAA and have them try to sort it all out for me on 4/10?

HELP!!!

Take the DDP price per person(i'm to lazy to look it up now!) and multiply it by the # of booked guests & then multiply it by the # of nights you are staying. This is your savins- that is if you are staying on Disney property when FD is offered.

Well that ruins my night, I am not checking in until 9/26 I guess thats what you get for going by the bounceback dates:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

we will actually have to have 2 rooms with her! Thanks!

Thats what I did thanks! Just wanted to be sure seems to good to be true! :) I am so excited because there for awhile I was thinking I may miss it and was pondering changing to september! I am so glad I can keep my dates! Does anyone know if the $109 is the rack rate for Values ?per night?

We are supposed to check in on 8/23 and stay til the 31st. Will we have to just do one night then book the rest as a separate reservation to get free dining? Thanks.

The Values rack rate is $82 a night for a standard view room and a preferred is $94 a night.
