Just curious how long others have had to wait for a table during Free Dining.

What was average wait time and where was longest wait?

I know one day to next can differ, but wonder if any restaurants notoriously slow at seating? Will we see a pattern.

Our longest wait was H&V - about 25 minutes
Our average wait was 10 minutes

If you showed up late for ADR, please note.
Thanks!

We waited over an hour past our ADR time at 'Ohana a few years ago. Probably 45 minutes at Le Cellier. All other places were less than 10 minutes. We never were late, but did show up early a few times and 'Ohana was the only place that it was a problem.

10 minutes at the most that we had to wait if that. Then again we were there before our time by 15 minutes just in case. Sometimes at Rose & Crown they would seat walk up first then ADR's. I noticed this when I check in and I had an ADR & the person in front of me didn't & got seat before I did. No big deal but I ask you are suppose to take the person with the ADR first then walk ups. The manager agree & told the hostess to not seat walk ups before ADR's , she was new so I guess that was a learning experience for her. The next time we went got our buzzer & it went off & three people said we were there before us & the hostess said they had an ADR where you all were walk ups. :)

The last 2 years the last week in Sept. about a 5-15 min wait. Chef De France was about 1/2 hour.

The last couple of years haven't been too bad (usually 10-15 minutes past our ADR time). Le Cellier we've always waited at least 20 min-1 hour past our ADR time though. Almost four years ago, during the first free dining period, we waited a good 30 min-1 hour past our ADR time for almost every meal. We are always early for our ADRs, by at least 20 minutes.

Last year, we waited about 75 minutes at the 'Ohana breakfast before giving up and leaving.

Waits otherwise were in the 15 minute range.

Last year when we were there for free dining, we averaged a little under ten minutes for our ADR's. Our quickest "sit down" time was as soon as we checked in at LeCellier--we were taken right in. Our longest wait (and also the worse meal) was Boatwright's where we waited 45 minutes.

Our waits probably averaged about 15 minutes. The longest was a 30 or more minute wait at Whispering Canyon for a Thursday 8:30 PM ADR.

Our average wait was probably 10-15 mins except for character dining, which was about 30 minutes. Princess storybook dining in Aerhaus in Norway castle was the longest at over 30 minutes.

Longest wait we had last September was at Coral Reef, which was about 10 minutes for a lunch. Everywhere else we turned up early, and got seated either immediately or after a very short wait. We were a group of 4 adults, and this included Narcoosees, Cali Grill, HBD and everywhere else we went.

HOWEVER we didnt make our ADR's until a few months into our 180 day window which meant we didnt get many "peak" eating times so I imagine this played a big part in our minimal wait times.

Oh and we skipped the picture thingy at Chef Mickey's at breakfast which also got us immediately seated :thumbsup2

We had a party of 6 or 5, ate at Chefs De France, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, CRT, LTT, Sci-Fi, Akerhaus. The only one we waited longer than 10 minutes was France, where we waited like 45 minutes. There was a HUGE crowd, and we were told they were overbooked because something else in Epcot was closed...I can't remember which one.

Akerhaus we were late for because the Epcot bus didn't show up for 45 minutes at our hotel, the only time we waited more than 20 minutes for a bus, and then on the bus it POURED so we had to get all our rain-gear on to run through Epcot...so we were like 20 minutes late arriving, (well, 3 out of 5 of us were late), and they actually still seated us within about 10 minutes.

Oh, and we had pretty prime meal-times as I made them all at 180 days out.

For some reservations, we got seated immediately or within 5-10 minutes.

And then some we waited over 1/2 hour but not quite an hour's wait-Coral Reef, Whispering Canyon, Boma and Sci-Fi come to mind.

LeCellier: we had reservations at 4 when it opened for dinner and got seated within 5 minutes.

I always plan for at least 20 minutes and then if we are seated in less time,GREAT! And if it is a little longer it doesn't mess up "plans" too much.

We always checked in about 10-15 minutes before our ADR time, and were usually seated at our ADR time. I think our longest wait was at Boma where we waited about 20 minutes total.

Longest wait was at Mama Melrose. I think they were punishing us because only 1/2 of our party came as the other group had a sick child. We were met with a snaughty attitude and waited about 30 mintues past our time while they "tried to find a smaller table"!
