I'll be going in September for the first time in 30 years! I couldn't find anyone to go with me, so I just decided to bite the bullet and go by myself.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for counter service in Animal Kingdom. That is the only place I am worried about.

Try the Flame Tree Barbecue on Discovery Island, it has Freshly Smoked BBQ Ribs, chicken and fresh tossed salads. Lunch and dinner has beef and pork sandwiches and turkey breast sandwiches served with baked beans and corn on the cob. They make the best coleslaw too. It is located in a shady area of AK with lots of seating and usually has lots of ducks looking for some treats.

As a matter of fact, we found the recipe for their BBQ sauce on-line and use it for our own ribs at home. My mouth is watering just thinking of it. We plan on eating there again in September.

Also had the chicken at Tusker House Restaurant but not as good as Flame Tree but there is usually entertainment close to Tusker that you can watch while you eat. Tusker is in Africa close to the bridge to Discovery Island.

I love Pizzafari it has the best pizza on property. Yak and Yeti's counter service is also very good.
