Free Desktop Publishing Program

I use Open Office for my Text and Spreadsheet needs, but it doesn't have a Publisher type offering. Does anyone know of a good FREE desktop publishing program? It doesn't have to be too fancy, I use it for making flyers, signs, sign up sheets etc for the organizations I volunteer with.

i came in here to suggest Open Office .. but it seems it doesn't have what you need, so i did a quick search for you and found..

Thanks. I searched and found that one too. I would like to get recommendations from people that use a free program.
