This year I'm wasn't going to do it as I have an AP, but, still kept an eye out for a friend and have not seen this offer anywhere, VH and TCD haven't advertised it, so is it now discontinued?

we're all hoping for this deal. It should be available late april for 2015 trips

if you're looking for FD for 2014 then you're a couple of months late, that deal is over.

Free Dining for 2014 finished booking in November time, I think. They haven't announced Free Dining for 2015 yet.

Having had free dining the last few trips think it will be a real negative for me if they stop doing it. Looking at October 15 now so hopefully they do it for that trip.

Ive booked last April for this August and got free dining.
If I booked today, I would pay exactly the same amount. That's on Disneys up to 40% off hotel deal and paying for the dining plan-which I wouldn't do as I wouldn't eat all the food offered on the dining plan.

I totally agree about prices. I've gone back through my notes from when I booked in April (and believe me I have lots of notes!). Prices are the same now with 40% discount and paying for dining as they were last April with free dining.
