Free cup of water at restaurants and stands?

We haven't been to Universal in quite some time but the last time we were there, we were able to get cups of ice water at the food stands and counter service restaurants. We brought packets of different flavors of Propel to use in the water and it saved a lot of money, especially when it's really hot and you are drinking quite a bit. Will they still give you water if you ask for it?

We have never been to Universal so this is another lesson learned. I paid for Sipper Cups, the kind you get free refils on all day long ($8.99 each), because I thought it would cost around $4 for each bottle of water. We drink a LOT of water. Didn't know we could get water for free. Oh well, we know for next time.
