I've been managing fine with OTC. Lots of congestion and fatigue. But muddling through each day.

Lost my taste and smell for a week. That was so odd. But it seems to be coming back this evening. I could smell and taste spaghetti for dinner

And I suddenly feel much better this evening. Hopefully, that continues.

I just started re-stockimg for the winter because it can be so hard to get what I need when stock runs low when there is an uptick. Good thing I did, my son was with us last weekend and a little sniffly so he tested positive but us being careful meant it didn't spread but there was a good amount of testing going on so I went though a box already.

I got some boxes of the ihealth Covid Flu A & B 4/$39 and some ihealth only Covid that are a little cheaper 5/$29 to follow up with Covid. The way I see it this is way cheaper and less disruptive than a Dr visit




So relieved there are combo Covid Flu Combo tests now, I hope this helps alleviate demands on healthcare institutions this winter. They are stamped to expire October 2025 so thats good for me.

Great...if you don't want it then I guess don't go out. The rest of us need to live life even if we have a cold. That's just completely absurd. I'm not coughing in anyone's face by any means. But you can't expect people to just hide at home with even a sniffle. That's crazy. I suggest grocery pick up so you don't have to interact with people if you feel this strongly.

Which I take if I need to but not for every sniffle or cough. And I have year round allergies. I'm not taking 100 covid tests a year. I get vaccinated and do my best, but I'm not hiding in my house either. I apply some common sense which appears to be not so common these days. But thanks for your comments.

They expired over a year ago.
I tossed them in the trash.
I would not have faith in accuracy on a test that expired that long ago.

Meh I took an expired test in August and it was immediately positive, and rightfully so as I felt awful.

Wow, they did say they might have expired dates but the FDA extended the dates. I would have thought, expired in June, good until Jan. Not be out of date by a year.


I just looked at the chart of extended dates. It is showing like what I thought, extended by about 6 months. Nothing I saw extended a year.

Did you check first to see if the date had been extended. I've had tests that were extended more than a year beyond the original expiration date.

Just so people aren't throwing away things unnecessarily make sure first to see if it was on the extension lists.
