Are people still getting December/ 2023/January 2024 expiration dates (including ones that got extended)?

The ones we have in the pantry will expire (already extended once) mid-to-late November for two boxes with a 3rd box March 2024 (was already extended). Just trying to see if it's worth ordering from the Federal government at this time more tests.

Really? When did this start? Walmart never offered them to me when I tried to get them through insurance (back in January I think) but was denied.

We've been able to get free tests from CVS. You can order them online or in store.

I think so, when one person is sick in the house or a person close to one of us gets sick it seems natural to test so those events go through a lot of tests.

With the holidays coming up it would seem that the frequency of these cluster events will increase dramatically.

In our home I tend to have people test on day three of most big events like parties, concerts, big trips and whenever they aren't feeling great. This is partly to get them treatment and partly to isolate and wall it off as people fight it off.

No lie. As I sit in the Detroit Airport right now, there's a guy across from me with a mask on his wrist (arm through the straps). Maybe he'll put it on when we board?

Of course, there's also a guy behind me playing a game on his phone with the speaker turned up, and a guy next to me having a phone conversation using the speaker. . It in a foreign language or I'd be tempted to jump in.

To be fair, for a while I would mask on the plane but not in the airport itself (though I'd usually put the mask on if the boarding area was crowded). I've gone back to masking at airports too since things are on the rise a little bit and we're entering cold/flu season.

Don't get me started on people who think it's fine to have their phone at full blast in public spaces (playing games, watching videos, or talking on the phone). Huuuuuge pet peeve of mine.

The liquid vials. The test strep and swab was there but not the actual test fluid.

That happened to us with Binax we purchased earlier in the year. I guess there can be a hiccup in manufacturing for anything. When it happened to us the box was replaced by the store but maybe for this it would be the manufacturer? Have you tried to contact anyone?

good news. Tossed out all my remaining tests just this week. After checking online for extended expiration dates. Also went out to a local library and picked up a kit for someone who did test positive

Thank you for updating! My grandson tested positive last week and we have burned through the ones I had on hand.
I'm hoping for the new booster to be available soon. I've had COVID twice already and really hope to avoid it again.

I will be glad to get more tests.

This go around is very contagious and is now in our schools

I will order more. We had two tests that had the extended expiration day and used them before went to a wedding earlier this month. I bought two more at CVS (total was less than $20).

We used these when we retuned from the wedding; husband had his third positive since May 2022. I tested negative.
