Just got e-mails from DVC and passholders..
In 2009:
If you are a DVC member you can get free park admission on your birthday!
If you are passholder, and using your pass, you can substitute magical fast passes (for up to 5 in your party), gift card, or a 1 day ticket to use before your next birthday

What is this? I haven't received any message on this.....do you think it is on the Web site....and do you think that it extends to your immediate family members? We are going in March and our son will be 8 and we were planning on going into the MK that day. This is great.

Yay!! We're planning on our first BLT stay for my 40th next September -- love the idea of the fast passes ('cuz we already have APs). :goodvibes

It says you can register anyone in your household over the age of three. The e-mail came from DVC.

Nice to see the passholder e-mail. For some reason I never get those even though I am supposedly signed up. I was thinking the free birthday was pretty lame since we have AP's. But fast passes or a gift card would be nice. Now I just have to figure out who's birthday we could go for!

I didnt get this email.........stinking spam trap! Can someone that received it PM me so I can provide you w/ my email so it can be forwarded to me please :flower3:

My wife and I have the same b-day 10/30. Looks like I better plan a ahlloween trip in 09!!

Too bad my birthday is in January, never been to WDW in my birthday month.

This was Disney's big announcement that was scheduled to be made today in NYC. This is not just a DVC promotion -- during 2009, Disney will admit free to a WDW or Disneyland park anyone in the world on their birthday. Clever, as it is only for the birthday person, meaning if this brings people in, there will usually be someone else buying a ticket and there will be more people spending money in the park.

Oooh I only heard the one-day pass in a news article...I like options for those of use who are passholders!

:wizard: I like it!

It sure beats the Years of a Million Dreams!

At least everybody has a birthday:rotfl:

.. But what if you were born on Feb 29th :confused3

guess the gift is that you age 75% slower than everyone else...;)

seriously tho, with most birthday promos, they make it feb 28 or march 1 in a non-leap year (i've friends with the same bd).

personally, i doubt i would ever use it. just too darn cold for me to go on feb 1st (to me, vaca means palm trees & the sun beating down on my shoulders :beach: ~ not coats & gloves).

Hi, If you have an AP and plan on renewing or purchasing a new one,can the 1 day ticket you recieve on your Birthday (for FREE) be used toward purchase of a NEW or RENEWED AP??(as I understand it that FREE 1-day ticket is good for 1 year after your Birthday Anyone know?? Or should I ask ina NEW thread?? Thanks, Joan

The free ticket can't be upgraded.

But it is still a great deal to get a free ticket or gift card or fast pass for your birthday! I like it. AND I already had a trip planned in March 2009 for my birthday. I often spend my birthday at WDW, especially the major ones. Now, my husband has his birthday in August and there is no way we'd ever be in Florida in that heat.
