Not sure if this will be helpful to anyone else but it sure is to us. Right now, AirTran is offering 2 free RT tix to anywhere they fly when you get their Visa card and spend $2K within 90 days. For us, this means 2 free tix to Orlando next year. You have to have/get an A+ Rewards acct with them, but that's free of course.

Remember all AirTran flights will technically be Southwest flights next year! They are in the process of phasing Airtran out..

That's the equivalent to the 50K miles offer on the SW card. It also has a $99 fee annually.

The AirTran card fee is $69, which is much less than 2 RT flights, needless to say. From what I just read, SW isn't going to phase AT out so much as re-badge the planes by the end of 2014. We should be in the clear to fly AT next year, but even if it happened sooner, they won't be ditching our pts - just converting them. Thank goodness!
