That is a GREAT idea!!!!

About your tooth- what!? They now have to take the cap off, do the root canal, and don't tell me you have to get a new cap!?

Fortunately, they can drill through the cap and then fill it.

In other news, I'm still trying to decide on a price for the pink ribbon hat. I was thinking of charging $20 and making a $10 donation to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. What do you guys think?

I think that is a fabulous idea! :thumbsup2

You know, now that I am getting deeper into black metal I have a new respect for drummers!
:worship: to your DH!

Yeah - that speed is crazy! I won't say my DH is "that" good, but he does rock & it's pretty hot to see you guy on stage. When we lived in LA he would do some local gigs with his then band. Those were the days - you "pay to play" and then go on at like midnight on a Tuesday. Well, that's LA for you... :rotfl:

Must be a slow day in Freapland.:confused3 Either that or we are all just too darned busy. I've been doing some house cleaning and made another batch of pesto to freeze. My tomatoes are finally coming in in full force so I'm going to have to do something soon with them. My DD eats the cherry ones like crazy. She had one in each cheek earlier and looked like a chipmunk.:rotfl2:

Freebies have been coming in pretty good. I've gotten lots of feminine products, another beach towel in DH's name and TONS of magazines. I started feeling guilty about all that paper(even though I recycle it) so I'm finding people to pass them on to. A guy I work with is getting the Spin and Blender. I actually cancelled the Lucky magazine after trying to read it on the treadmill the other day. What a waste of time.:headache: Even if I had $3000 for a pair of shoes, I still wouldn't be interested in looking at pictures of them.:confused3 I also had a strange one the other day. It was a detergent sample but was in a brown paper wrapping and then wrapped in plastic wrap. It had a big stain like the detergent had leaked and smelled like detergent but when I opened it the sample was fine.:confused3 Not sure what happened.

Alesia-I love the hat and think your pricing is right on!:thumbsup2

It IS quiet around freap-land today!

and OMG Marna- I know what you mean about Lucky Mag. I used to get it years ago and I do NOT remember the prices of the items to be that crazy! DH used to hate when the mag would come in and I would start using the little stickers on the pages that I wanted items:lmao: He used to brace himself.

Once in a while I would find some cute things, but then it got to be ridiculous!:sad2: I canceled my subscription too.

I know you are the "garden goddess" :cool1: But when I have some extra tomatoes, I like to chunk them up, lay them out on a cookie sheet with a bunch of garlic cloves and chopped up onions- drizzle some olive oil over everything and roast it all up at 500 degrees!

You can just use it all chunky over pasta or smash it all up into a paste- it is DE-LISH! You can even add your basil to the finished product!:thumbsup2

OR- I like to just cut them up small and toss around some chopped onions and basil, (not a big fan of raw garlic:scared: :scared1: , but that would be good too) put it all in a large bowl, drizzle the olive oil over it and just let it sit- then toss it over pasta:worship:

Ooh. I love roasted tomatoes like that. Do you peel them first? It just so happens that DH dug up my garlic the other day so I have a ton of that right now. Also, wonder if I could make a bunch and then freeze it?:confused3 I plan to make and can a bunch of spaghetti and pizza sauce but I don't have enough yet to get into that big of a project.

As for the Lucky magazine, I'm just sooo not into fashion. If my t-shirt is clean and doesn't have too many holes I feel like I'm high falutin.:rotfl2:

:lmao: I am sure you are a beautiful "garden goddess":hippie:

No I do not peel them first- I am lazy:lmao: The skins never seems to be a problem. I do not feel like blanching them (isn't that how you are supposed to take the skins off??) You love doing those things- so, if I were you, go ahead and peel them!:dance3:

I think it is a great idea. Can I please buy the first one?

My dad would roast tomatoes then and them to rice. He would eat that all day every day if we would have let him.
I with you on the t-shirts. I once got Lucky Mag. for DD she hated it. Her thoughts on the high prices:scared1:

Of course you can. I hope you don't mind, but I named it the Kellie Hat.

No I do not mind. I am honored.
I showed DH your post and it brought tears to his eyes.
Can you please email me the link to your site again.

wow noone posted here at all today. Well yesterday since it is now Sunday morning.

I am barely moving. Spent ALL day yesterday doing a fundraiser for my son's school. (by all day I mean 6am-4pm). We raised all of $200 after expenses. I guess it was as much for community exposure/ recruitment as much as for the $$, and in that way it was very successful, but I am beat. Today I'm just gonna :surfweb: and :happytv: and popcorn:: . No :laundy: for me.
How is everyone else today??

Looks like all the Freaps were busy this weekend. We had a busy one as well. DH finally made it home and then I had to work on Saturday. Then yesterday I had my book club meeting so I got to catch up with friends, have a few drinks, eat tons of good food and relax by their pool. Oh, we also talked about the book for a few minutes.:rotfl2: Today I have a ton of work to do. Luckily my ankle is healing nicely. I don't think I'm quite ready to run so I'm going to give it another week just in case. Which means I have more time to squirrel away food for winter. Today I'm making blackberry jam and have absolutely got to pick beans and do something with them.

And on top of all that, I have been cleaning up beer goo all morning. I got up with DS around 4:00 am and picked the kitty up to move him and noticed he was all crusty feeling.:scared1: I was half asleep so didn't think too much about it until I got up this morning. I thought he had stuff coming out his ear and was all panicked wondering how fast I could get him into the vet.:confused3 Then I went downstairs and saw little gooey paw prints all the way down leading to DH's homebrew he made yesterday. He had a blowout on both carboys and there is sticky, gooey beery goodness dripping down the sides.:headache: It won't hurt the beer, it just means that the yeast is working VERY well. But, now I have to give kitty a bath today as well. That should be great fun-NOT!!!!!:lmao:

:scared1: Kitty and bath in the same sentence scares the bejeezus out of me! I remember when our cats were young we would TRY to give them a bath It took 2 of us. At one point I started wearing the rubber gloves you use to wash dishes to hold the kitty and mom would lather her up. After getting soaked and all scratched up from her nails- we finally gave up doing it! They do a fine job of bathing themselves!

Good luck!

Yesterday we went to the city for my b-day to do the walking tour of the historic area. Well- about 3/4 of the way throught the tour- the wind kicked up- the sky was black and we barely made it back to the visitors center and then came the downpour:guilty:

I wanted to go into Independence Hall, see all of the gardens and cemetaries, and just wander around the city after we did the tour- but that did not work out! I told DH I want a part 2 to my b-day and go back and do the rest of what we set out to do.

I have a few pics I will post later.

Marna- you will love the T-sirt I got BIL- It has a faint pic of Ben's face with the famous saying that I am SURE you know and love-
“Beer is proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy.”

Madd - happy belated bday!

Kitty and bath in the same sentence - yikes!

Not an exciting weekend here. Got a babysitter and went out to a cool grown-up dinner, which was awesome.

And if I did this right, here's kitty skywalker:

Kitty Skywalker is so cute. He looks very happy in his bed.
Now on the bath my cat loves them. But we do not think he understands he is a cat. :lmao:

Happy Birthday from me also Madd.

party: :bday: Happy Birthday Madd! Hope you get the rest of your b-day trip (and the storms leave you alone!!):wizard:

madd-I love that quote. In fact I think I had it in my siggy at one point. Maybe I should get one of those shirts for DH. I'm sorry your b-day trip was stormed out. Philadephia is a place I've always wanted to visit but never got a chance. I'm such a history geek I know I'd love it.

I'm sure you probably heard this news already, but I saw on the Dis homepage that JD is going to be playing the Mad Hatter!!!!!! How crazy will that be?
