I have been incredibly busy the last couple of weeks. Our 10th anniversary was on the 4th and Carly's 8th birthday was on the 5th.

Well, this morning was a false alarm. By the time I got into town, they had another root canal going and I came home. I have an appointment in August but I would rather just get this done. I have a deep filling on the 4th canal and it has calcified so he is having trouble getting through the calcium into that last root canal. After that, we are finished.

Ugh- I was at the dentist this morning too! He had to put on my perm cap.
I already had the root canal a few weeks ago. However, my tooth still hurts when I bite down! It is not sensitive to hot or cold- and it does not throb anymore, like it did before the root canal- but it still hurts. The pain does not linger.
He is stumped! He took more xrays and said the roots look ok- no infection, before he did the root canal he took out the filling to be sure there was no crack in the tooth, and there was not- he said there could be a crack in the tooth that cannot be seen. He put the perm cap on and said to give it a few weeks
I am more POd that I already spent 2000.00 on the darn tooth and I certainly do not want to end up having it pulled and then have a implant put in and spend even MORE $$$!!

Now, I am no genius but even I can figure out that is not going to a good place!! I spent several thousand $$$ on the $#%* thing before they decided it had to be pulled. They sent me to a DDS, 2 hours away, some sort of specialist, to pull it and the tooth had rocked around and gotten so loose (wearing away jaw bone with it) that he pulled the $#@! thing with his fingers!! Then, they wanted to do an implant! But, first, I was going to have to have some bone grafting done to build jaw bone back up to hold the implant in. I said no thank you. We don't have dental insurance. DH was mad at me for awhile over that one.

Now you can see a hole in my smile and I am pretty self-conscious about it.
Could your pain be coming from the numbing shot place healing? Or can you tell that it is from the tooth fer sure?
