:woohoo: Good for you! I took my pup on a mile walk and it nearly did me in :lmao: . I'm very impressed and inspired!

:dance3: I did it I am home from my 25 mile ride and I finished. It was real hard in spots and there was times I didn't think I would make it up those hills but I DID IT. DH was with me for the whole ride and he was awesome to have along for the support. Thanks for believing in me now I am off the Olive Garden I am starving. :rotfl2:
Such a deal! :thumbsup2 I am so impressed with my DIS friends!! You guys are constantly amazing! :cool1: I hope you stuffed your face AND got dessert at Olive Garden...you deserved it! :rotfl:

I got this email today from a friend:

Love that Quote and yes I stuffed my self well.

I had trouble finding the South Beach goodies that qualified for the coupon. I finally found a good variety at Smith's (Kroger's), if you have one in your area....

We must be the only place in the whole wide world that doesn't have access to a Super Wally World. :confused3

We don't have a Krogers:guilty: But I am sure our store had them- I just could not find them and was not in the mood to find someone to help me......why do you regret asking someone for help when you go to a store!

Yesterday I was in Michael's and I asked the sales girl if she had "stained glass kits" she looked at me like I had 3 heads and kept repeating "stained glass kits?" "stained glass kits?"-- (use your best whining voice) did you look over there?? (yes- I did, I did not see them) did you look along the wall? (yes, I did, I did not see them) I finally just said- THAT'S OK! I will go back and look- I then proceeded to look at my husband and pretend I was poking my eyes out! Hello! If I looked all over, WHY am I asking YOU where the item might be!?

I asked another sales girl and she said they do not have them.....:sad2:

sorry for going off on that rant.......:rolleyes1

Super Wally World- do you mean Wal-Mart?? I will try and avoid any Wal-Mart at any cost! The place creeps me out and there are some very odd people that go there:rotfl2: Some of them scare me. :sad1:

Actually my cousin is a manager at a Wal-Mart and she was telling us Friday night- that the grocery store that I could not find my freebie at, is doing everything in their power NOT to have her Wal-Mart turned into a Super Wal-Mart b/c it will hurt their business!

I discovered, today, that I still know all the words to "Dirty Pop" AND I can imitate Britney Spears singing it!! What does that tell you!?? :scared: :rotfl2:

:guilty: I will take that as a "no" you are not a Type O fan:rotfl2: and that I have no idea what the song "Dirty Pop" even is and maybe I should thank my lucky stars that I don't:lmao: :rotfl2:

OMG! That is one of the best quotes I have ever read! I would love to put it in my siggy- but not sure how much room I have left before things start getting cut off!:sad1:

Love the quote. I am now going to plan to live this way.

Madd I am so with you on asking people for help. Drives me nuts sometimes.
On the Walmart I am not so much a fan. The one in our town I will not go into. It is so messy and dirty now. When they opened it was very nice but now it has become a drive

Okay I so need to get in gear. I have a bridal shower to go to.
Johns nephew is getting married in Sept. to a very sweet girl. I always tell her she is so struck with us and we are lucky to get her.
But on a good note John's mom is not going.:cool1: :cool1:
She needs to make a show and hope by her not being there everyone will be upset. Oh how sad . NOT

Oh, yeah, you don't want to go any farther into that one! :lmao:

As for the SuperWalmarts, I have only seen the ones in other towns when I travel with DH. They are probably all very new but they are clean and the food department is SOOOO much cheaper than our local grocery stores! We have a Walmart that sits on a lot that is full so they can't increase in size or add a Super to it. But, if they did bring a SuperWalmart to our town, the grocery stores here would have a real run for their money. I don't like our Walmart for the management. The employees all have a Super Attitude and that comes from the management. A few years back, I had a run-in with both the Pharmacy Department and the Optical Department and if ever I could have reached through a phone and slapped someone, those would have been the times!! I don't use either any more. I have threatened DH with bodily harm if he were to use them. If they keep it up, I'll end up not going there at all!

On the other hand, a new Target has opened up near our house and we go there alot. They are small and don't have a Pharmacy Department *sigh*. They have kids working in there that have colored mohawk hair cuts, rings in their lips, noses, and ears, and wear chains on their black clothes...but, they are the sweetest kids and they make eye contact with you and help you out to the last degree!! :lovestruc I really enjoy just walking around that store to kill time!

Okay I so need to get in gear. I have a bridal shower to go to. Johns nephew is getting married in Sept. to a very sweet girl. I always tell her she is so struck with us and we are lucky to get her. But on a good note John's mom is not going.:cool1: :cool1:

A bridal shower sounds fun! I haven't known any one who has gotten married or had a baby in quite a while now. I understand what you mean, some get-togethers are just more fun without certain people! :rotfl2:

I went running around shopping and doing errands with DH yesterday and got sunburned pretty bad. I was just so happy to see sun I wasn't thinking. :rotfl: I should have figured it out...when people walk up to you and start talking about skin cancer, I should have figured it was time to put the sun screen on. :guilty:

Youngest DS is going to test for his driver's license in the morning. He got a job this weekend and we are still driving him around! He worked until 1:00am this morning and DH had to go get him after work. Hmmm...they are both suddenly motivated! Some people are so stubborn...too bad it runs in the family!

I had to find us on page four!!! :headache: But now we are back to page one!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: And I think I am doing good just to ride to the store a mile away!!! Seriously though, good work!

Kellie-how was the shower?

The shower was great. Johns mom did not show up:cool1: :cool1:
That always makes it a good time.
The bride to be is so sweet. They got some really nice things.

Theresa-You did it!!!! We knew you could. I did my run on the treadmill this morning but the only thing we had in the house(that didn't involve work on my part:lmao: )to eat for lunch was Gardettos snack mix(that I got for free at Meijers a week or so ago:rotfl: ) and leftover cookies. I'm so terrible. :sad2: I did feed the kids a good lunch but I had just finished running and didn't feel like eating then.:confused3 Now, I have this crazy idea to run a race some day. The biggest obstacle is that all the local ones are on Saturdays when I'm at work.:sad2:

Well, my freebie usage was crap this weekend. I already put in the freebie thread that I didn't get to use the Thomas train coupon. Not only that, but the Melting Pot wouldn't take my free chocolate fondue coupon from their own email they sent me.:headache: I asked our waiter when we first arrived if we could use it with the combos on the menu and he said he didn't think so. Since it clearly states ON THE COUPON that you can, I asked him to check with the manager. We went ahead and ordered the BIG meal and when he came to clear dessert I asked him if he had asked the manager about it and he said he hadn't yet.:confused3 So I gave him the coupon and showed him where it says it is good for the four course meal and he came back a few minutes later and said "Since dessert is free with the four course meal we really can't use the coupon." ARGGGG!!!!!!! What the **** do you mean "free" it's included in the ******* price!!!!!!!!!!! DH is the type that will not make a scene over anything and I did not want to ruin our wonderful dinner so I let it go(against everything I stand for as a FREAP:sad2: ). So, DH was getting his wallet out to pay and I asked to look at the bill. There on the bill they had charged us for the 4 course meal AND added dessert again. Not only would they not take my coupon, but they wanted us to pay for the dessert twice!!!! Still not wanting to create a scene I asked the server if that was right and he said "I think so.":confused3 I said "I don't think so and you need to have the manager look at it." Well, the manager finally came over and said she had changed it for us. In spite of all of that, we did have a great time.

I'm glad it was nice and peaceful shower! ;) I love to see what they get and I am always amazed at the new things out there to get and give as presents.

Today was a good day for freebies here! I got a sample of Tide w/Dawn, Gillette face and body wash, my first issue of Home mag and my second issue of Family Fun mag. I love my freebies!!!

I'm sorry about your weekend freebie usage!! At least your evening with DH was a good one! I read somewhere about the Thomas the Train coupon having an error-I wonder if that is why they aren't accepting them. I also saw a new link posted for a new coupon, don't know if you are interested in trying it again but it you are, let me know and I will see if I can find the link! :thumbsup2

pperfectmom sometimes I have those issues with my freebie stuff too but my DH knows that I will have alittle fit to try and make them honor their coupons:rotfl2: You should run a race some day you will feel very fulfilled for doing so I know that is how I felt and now I have lined up at least three more 20 plus rides this summer something just comes over you and you suddenly feel more powerful then you thought you were. Keep up all that walking and riding and lets keep each other motivated its worth it. Kellie I am glad to hear that the shower was nice. :goodvibes

Good evening freaps, meaps, and cheaps :thumbsup2 It seems like we all had some excitement over the weekend and it's not even the long fourth of July weekend yet

Congratulations on making it through your race  We all knew you could!!!! You should be totally over the moon with yourself!!!

Kellie - how are your feeling? Any good progress :confused3 Hopefully the warm wishes and prayers are doing more than making your skin tingle with more wamth.....just tell the doctors at the next visit it's not a radiation burn, it's all the love pouring in :teacher: I wish there was more I/we could do for you and your family.

Congratualtions on the anniversary and dinner. I know how difficult it is to keep your mouth shut to save the occasion but boy would I fire off a scathing report to their email address about the lack of communication with internet coupon usage and the lack of understanding by waitstaff and management.

My weekend was pretty fun/mellow cept for 1 irritating scene. Friday is my card/visit with grandma night. The kids & I go and visit my grandmother (85) and have goodies. Saturday I mowed the grass - well 1/2 of it because I ran out of gas :headache: and I did not feel like going and spending $10 on gas for just the freaking lawn :headache: :headache: Then we were going to go to the drive in to see Wall*E and Get Smart but it looked like thunderstorms/rain and we decided at the last minute to put the drive in off for a week and partake in the 4th festivities in town. Now is my "moment" For the last 4-5 years we have gone to this parking lot on a hill in town. It has a Mattress Store, a Bunk Bed Store, and a Holiday Inn Express. The parking lot isn't huge but the placement is ideal and many people go there to watch the fireworks. So we go, park, set up our little folding chairs, and there are probably about 50 people milling about and more coming. Nobody is rowdy or loud, people are generally just chatting, friendly. Fireworks are to start at 9:30. At about 9:22PM (my husband had just told me the time) this flambouant man comes out the front of the hotel, waving his hands around, and yelling at people that "you are ALL on private property, the police have been called, and you all need to leave IMMEDIATELY!!!" Most people fluffed him off, laughed at him. I kind of looked at my husband and rolled my eyes. The guy (think Carson Kressley from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) comes out again and does the same thing. I finally stop this guy and ask him his name and he gets all flustered and announces he is ABC the front end supervisor and the POLICE HAVE BEEN CALLED AND YOU NEED TO GET OFF PRIVATE PROPERTY. I looked him in the eye and I said trying to be calm, there is a right way and a wrong way to go about what you are doing and you are not only making an A** out of yourself but you are poorly representating your company. You do NOT know who is and who is not a guest of this hotel or visiting a guest of this hotel and to walk up to people and yell at them instead of taking certain steps to prevent the situation in the 1st place is idiotic at best. There were several ways to prevent the situation and everyone would have been gone within 15 minutes anyway. Now I am not saying it is okay to trespass on private property but this venue has been a regular spot for years without issue, they could have easily roped off the beginning of their parking area and had someone around to admit in "hotel guests only", instead we have man running around like chicken with head cut off squawking about how the police are on the way - NOT. OK, vent over. Other than that  , the fireworks were beautiful and the rest of the weekend was uneventful.

Don't you just love people like that. I am over the moon. I will keep at it and soon 25 miles will be like a walkin the park. I am doing a bike ride on my birthday to support our local womens center and other women related causes. Its only 20 miles but the cause it more than worth it.
I hope everyone is enjoying this week.:flower3:

Sally, it sounds like you had everything under control! Too bad someone had to spoil the fun, but, you did good! ;)

Don't you just love people like that. I am over the moon. I will keep at it and soon 25 miles will be like a walkin the park. I am doing a bike ride on my birthday to support our local womens center and other women related causes. Its only 20 miles but the cause it more than worth it.

Theresa, see how you are! :cool1: You guys are all going ATHLETIC on me!

Good for all of you! ;) :lmao:

Look at you with the "IT'S ONLY" already  :scared1: :faint: I have enough problems convincing my kids to get me a soda out of the fridge by telling them "it's only in the next room!" :lmao: So whens the B-day? 25 Again ;)

Don't forget the SPF1000 ;) Sounds like you could use a couple days of nothing more exciting than seagulls and hubby making you breakfast and serving you liquid refreshments on the beach....maybe you should pack a speedo and a tray and tell him that is his "uniform" for the weekend  He better not forget those little umbrellas :rotfl:

Hey peeps.....I tried to enter codes on double rewards day (last Wed) from mycoke and had issues. I think alot of people may have as well. Well, of course it was 11PM at night and I log back in....or try to....and keep getting booted out *we're doing unscheduled maintenance* So I emailed them and commented that they should plan they're maintenance better than to shut down the site within an hour of ending double points day. Luckily I had entered 1/2 my codes in the AM so I lost about 100 points (20x5). They responded to my email that they apologize for my inconvenience and they credited me 50 points  I know not the full amount of what I could have gotten, but I was impressed that they responded and offered that. Just thought I would give a compliment to a company that is trying to achieve good customer service :thumbsup2 with all the complaining in the world.....Holiday Inn Express  :rotfl:
