MAGGIMUS! YAY :cheer2: You're back!!!!! No one and I repeat NO ONE has forgotten you! I just saw your post over on the freebie thread and freaked out! It's great to know you are good and your house is finished! What a relief for you I'm sure!

A LOT of stuff has gone on around here, but there is no way to explain it all! It is all good in the hood right now (as my daughter would say). I just asked someone not too long ago if they knew what was going on with you, but now we know...and we're glad to hear from you! WELCOME BACK, JUST PICK UP WHERE YOU LEFT OFF!

:woohoo: I'm so glad I haven't been forgotten!! I was afraid I would have to start all over and introduce myself again.

Shaymaraysmom- i have been okay with cleaning the house thus far- although the master bath is kicking my rear. Hope you are well too!!

Hey Maggimus! Boy, but it sure took long enough to get your internet set up! Glad you're back to freapin' with your homies!

:wave2: Hey everyone...It doesn't look like anyone's around right now, but I'm checking in anyway! I've been terribly, terrible ill for the last few weeks, but I'm finally feeling better, so I just spent like an hour catching up!
But seeing all the new pics and new freaps has been great! I've missed you all! :goodvibes

Oh No! You have been sick for weeks!!? So glad you are finally feeling better!:dance3:

I hope everyone is having a nice lazy Sunday. I am going to get my nails done and chill out. I think we are going to go over my brothers house today and let him wait on me all day. It is so cool being the baby sometimes.:rotfl2:

Well anyways.... DH (wow its been a long time since I typed that) have settled into our new custom house (well.. back in February) and have just now worked out all the kinks. Its been a fight with our local cable provider to get hooked up (internet and cable TV) due to living too far from the closest tap. Regaurdless... I'M BACK!

Hmm, so what did I miss? Nothing too juicy I hope. Dh and I are still planning for a little one sometime soon. No big trying right now though.

Hope all is well. I've missed our daily chats!

Here's the finished result of the house for those that are interested.... I'll include inside photos later. (hope this doesnt go too huge on me)

I have always heard that building a new house is terribly stressful...I feel for you that way! Your new home is absolutely beautiful, tho', and I hope you will feel it has all been worth it very soon! :goodvibes

Hadley...have you had a cold/sinus infection? It sounds like one is making its way around the country.

It is raining here today so all of our outside activities have been cancelled....maybe until tomorrow. sigh

No it wasn't sinus...I wish it had been! I had an ache in my back which I attributed to working out too hard, but it was then followed by a temperature of about 103-104! I was out of my mind...unfortunately (since we have no insurance) I put off going to the doctor for about a week thinking that it was some HORRIBLE flu...but finally I drug myself to a walk in clinic. The DR. wanted me to go immediately to the ER, apparently I had a kidney infection, but I started to cry uncontrollably, so she took pity on me and found some samples of antibiotics (and as a freap, that was kinda cool! It was a $200 or so prescription otherwise). She made me promise that if my fever didn't come down in 24 hours that I would go to the hospital...well, thank goodness, it did. I started to feel better until all the side effects of the antibiotics kicked in! They were almost as bad as the infection! So that sidelined me for another week or so! BUT, I am glad to say that today is my last dose!

Oh, gosh, how terrible! I am SO glad you have gotten better now. :goodvibes

WooHoo! My fridge is working again! I guess it was the freezer door being left open and moisture freezing the fan. I left it off with the doors open for 24hrs, and this morning when I plugged it it it cooled down to temp in 3hrs. I am so excited. Only stuff I lost out of the fridge was the questionable stuff I could not for some reason toss :rotfl2: . So, all better here! :thumbsup2
And Maggimus, forgot to say, I call dibs on that tower room  !

Oh Hardley that stinks. I have had a kidney infections before and they are so painful. Mine also start with the back ache then not being able to go the potty.
It is hard when you have no insurance. The meds are so over priced.I send you :grouphug:

Today has been the only nice day this weekend. I am soooo ready to move....sigh. :(

Why the heck have my smilies moved around? I am so confused!!

Are there any good adult freebies at that site? :hyper: Not that my friends on this thread are specialists or anything.... :rolleyes1

Hey freaps!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Just gotta tell you all a little sad story that happened yesterday....:(

DH and I had a BBQ to get ready for yesterday, but we decided to sit outside on the rocking chairs for a few minutes- I look over and I see one of my birdhouses on the ground! It fell out of the tree! I knew the mommy bird had just had her babies and she and daddy have been flying in and out of the house all day the day before!

OMG! All I could think of, the babies!! Yes- contrary to popular (DIS) belief I AM a good, caring person (but that is whole other story  :rolleyes1 ) anywho......

I ran over and I could see through the top of the birdhouse, I see mommy bird was dead! and babies were all pink like little mice and they were all squirming around! I started bawling my eyes out! "The mommy is dead and the babies are going to die! We need to help them!!!"

DH knew I was not going to let this go, how could anyone?- so he said hurry up and go get dressed and we will take them to the wildlife hospital (only 10 minutes from our house) I run in the house and throw on sweat pants- my hair is still wet b/c I just got out of the shower- I grabbed the birdhouse with everyone still in it- alive and ......not alive.....:worried: and off we go!

We got there and the thank goodness they were open. I take the bridhouse in and the girl pops off the top and, yup, mommy had died! I asked her why- b/c it could not have been from the fall b/c the babies survived- she said the mom may have eaten a bug that was "bad" I said to her they were spraying for gypsy moths by plane over our house afew days ago and I have been finding a lot of dead lady bugs!!! She said the mom could have eaten one and that is how she died!

Great- Just another thing to P!$$ me off- flying over homes and killing wildlife and everything in its path all the while telling us it is safe!!! (but that is another story:rolleyes1 ) So mommy bird is dead and the girl starts taking out the babies one by one- there were 6 in all, and only 5 were alive. and there was one egg that was still unhatched. She said they looked so young she would be surprised if momma bird even got to feed them yet!:worried:

It made me so sad to think that maybe the mommy knew she was going to die and she just wanted to keep her babies warm and that is why she was in there. ugh- my heart was breaking-

So she put all the babies under the heat lamp and said she would do what she could to save them......:(

It was so sad to see the mommy bird just laying there on the table all dead while her babies were under the lamp.

I was so sad. :worried:

Hey freaps!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

That IS soooo sad! I'm glad you live so close to somewhere that could help the babies though ::yes:: Do they give the animals a case # so you can check in and see how they are faring? The hospital near us has a non-profit section for cases like that (although they take donations of course) and each animal that comes in gets a case # so you can check on them.

Oh Madd that is so sad. I would be like you telling John to do something to save them. We know you are a good person no matter what anyone thinks.
Maybe you can call and check on them

Hopefully those poor babies will survive.
We don't have anyplace close by to take animals like that to, so it's a good thing I have never found any. I would be a basket case worrying over them.

 A spray that kills something will most definitely kill other things.
:confused3 I thought gypsy moth larve/worm/catapillar things were safe inside their cocoon/web houses? That the only way to "control" them was to damage the webbing first?

Are there any good adult freebies at that site? :hyper: Not that my friends on this thread are specialists or anything.... :rolleyes1

:ssst: I was also wondering if anyone had any opinions about the one they have up now.

Not that any of you would know...:rolleyes1

I am not sure if they are safe- I know that our area is SO bad they had to spray overhead b/c the gypsy moths are killing everything! Not only that- I am such a DOPE I even paid someone to spray our yard!

Our whole community gets a discount and whoever wants their yard sprayed pays- IT'S BLOOD MONEY!:scared1:

We usually get ours done every year and I never noticed a large amount of dead bugs- but this year- with the overhead spraying and the in yard spraying it must have been too much!

I said to DH, next year- we will put the tape around the trees, that is supposed to help.

And about the babies- I got a receipt so maybe the case # is on that- But I guess they would know what I am talking about if I call......I wonder if they would just tell me they are OK to make me feel better:worried:

I was trying to whisper to DH to see if he had $$ for a donation- he said- I ran out of the house without my $$:confused3 - so I told the girl I will be mailing in a donation::yes::

OK- which one of my freaps were telling me about Five Finger Death Punch??? Was it you Alesia???

I only ask, b/c on another thread I go on- Someone was telling me about the Summerfest concert in Milwaukee- so I was checking out the bands who were playing, and they are one of them!!
