Did I miss something?:confused3
Okay who the heck moved the smileys around.

Maybe the Too Timid freebies???

I KNOW- the smilies are annoying me! I guess I have to get used to them.:bitelip: ...no wait- I mean, :faint: ooops, ok here it is.....:confused3 ........where's the

Madd-sorry about your experience. I have to go against the popular opinion here and say "DON"T CALL!!!!" I am pretty sure you are better off thinking that they may have a chance than finding out for sure. :worried: Take this from someone who "tried" to nurse baby birds(and baby mice and baby rabbits) back to health all the time as a kid. When I hear stories about municipalities that spray for mosquitoes and other pests, I am so glad we live in the boonies. I would be so scared for my kids playing on the street in places that do that.:worried:

Why did they upset the smiley balance?:confused3 At least they should have had the courtesy to put this one first.:drinking1

Madd, sounds like you had a hectic evening. You really did as much as you could, and I second pperfectmom with 'Don't Call'. I don't think your heart could take any more bird drama. :worried: .

I had a similar experience with possums! The mommy got spooked by the lawn mower and dropped babies all over our back yard! I freaked out and called a "possum expert" and she said to leave them alone that the mom would come back....but after a few hours she hadn't and they stopped making sounds, I was devastated and crying...So I called the "expert" again and she told me to go ahead and collect them all and to get them to a wildlife shelter (which luckily we have one right down the road). I ran around and gathered them all up, 7 in all, and took them straight there, but I never had the nerve to call and see if they had survived. :worried: Then 2 days later I found the mommy in one of our bushes and she still had 3 babies on her...I didn't know how to feel...sad that I had taken the rest to the shelter or glad that they hadn't died... They were going to die if I didn't, but somehow I felt guilty that she only had a few left...nonetheless, I started putting food and water out for her and my hubby thought I was nuts to try to keep her around, but I felt obligated...I was tickled pink when I went for a run one morning and found chicken bones in the street from the leftovers I had left for her! :goodvibes

OK- which one of my freaps were telling me about Five Finger Death Punch??? Was it you Alesia???

I only ask, b/c on another thread I go on- Someone was telling me about the Summerfest concert in Milwaukee- so I was checking out the bands who were playing, and they are one of them!!

It was me.:yay:

OK- then, I will just live in my own happy world and think about them being healthy and flying away some day!:lovestruc

You did the right thing saving the babies- I know, you feel guilty taking the babies from her. I said to DH, I hope I do not see the daddy bird flying around looking for his family or I will lose it:worried:

It was me.:yay:

That is funny that I have never heard of them until you mentioned the name!

Madd, you did good...

As for anyone thinking that you aren't a good person...That I don't get. You are the glue of our Freap Chat - You have been out of your way kind to me and stuck up for several of our fellow freaps.:lovestruc

After we talked about it, I watched one of their videos. All I could think was, "Wow! Jeremy has aged a lot!" Then it occurred to me that I haven't seen him in :scared1: 18 years! :scared1:

:faint: I guess that explains it...

You know what is scary- we have no say!!! They just spray the stuff all over and we have to breathe it in- I made sure I had all my windows closed- but I am sure that is of no help!

People in charge= us bending over and taking it:duck:

:ssst: I was also wondering if anyone had any opinions about the one they have up now.

Not that any of you would know...:rolleyes1
I need the link....I can't find the link. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! :faint:

"what?".....:listen:
On the freebie thread....I didn't want anyone to start asking 'why' when they just aren't going to get an answer. :(

DH knew I was not going to let this go, how could anyone?- so he said hurry up and go get dressed and we will take them to the wildlife hospital (only 10 minutes from our house) I run in the house and throw on sweat pants- my hair is still wet b/c I just got out of the shower- I grabbed the birdhouse with everyone still in it- alive and ......not alive.....:worried: and off we go!
You guys are lucky you have a wildlife hospital nearby...I don't know that we have anything like that here. :(

We have neighbors who let their dogs run wild. If you think it is bad to have running dogs in town...it is so much worse in the country. They get aggressive, if there is more than one, and they will take down anything they can....just for fun! :furious: The neighbor also poaches so...between him and his dogs...some wildlife doesn't make it very long out here. With DH redoing the fences with him, now, he is hoping that some small animals and birds can make it into our property and the dogs can't get at them. He loves having pheasant and wild turkeys out here. But, if they leave our property, we never see them again. :worried:

I'll bet those little birds will make it because they know exactly how to keep them thriving at that hospital. You did good, Madd! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: I did the little "what?" b/c I know it always fell on "deaf ears" ;)

Ew! poaches!?? That is just gross! That is a man who has some serious "manhood issues" if ya know what I mean?:rolleyes1

I would be over there giving him an earful- and calling the authorites somewhere that would listen!

Yesterday, I was so worried about another little bird family in another one of our tress- I had to go out and check on them. They are much older than the other ones. I think they may be flying soon. While I was peeking in the tree to check on them- I heard momma bird giving me a mad chirp and then saw her up in a nearby tree watching me:rotfl2: Sorry, just checkin' on your babies!

If there was any way I could prove the guy was killing out season...I would turn him in. I guess, around here, they can even check your freezer for poached meat. But, with my luck, I would turn him in and they would have already eaten the ill-begotten gains! Then, no one would listen to me again after that. :confused3 He DEFINITELY has a manhood problem going on over there....

You're doing the checking right, though....not touching them, just looking. Mommas have to appreciate that! :cool1:

Does anyone else ever listen to Michael Yo on XM radio in the afternoons? I listen to them while I am driving around town doing my errands. Every once in awhile I call in and get on the show. Today, I called in and could not THINK of the answer to their quiz! ARG! I had an on-the-spot brain freeze and missed a chance to win something from their show! :confused3 If you hear someone calling in - Susan from Montana - chances are it's me. :rotfl2:

Thanks to both of you! :goodvibes DH is curious and I couldn't find the darn site on the previous freebie threads. Never want to discourage curiosity! :bitelip:

The last time we went over to Spokane (last year some time), DH found a business that has HUGE marble fountains...like what you would see at a museum - I KID YOU NOT! And, DH wants one! There is one he has his heart set on that has naked women around it. He just asked me about going over to Spokane in July for a workshop he could go to and we could bring a fountain back!!

What the heck is he going to do with a HUGE marble fountain of naked women out in the country in Montana....for Pete's sake!!?! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'll keep you posted....

I know NOTHING :rolleyes1 How bad is it that I have it saved in my freebies under "coupon deals" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I think that is what I am going to do, too.

I'm a regular Catty Cathy this week! :cool1: We have been having trouble with our phone service for over a week now and our DSL was out all day yesterday. How odd is this: Clinton was in Pablo, Montana, yesterday (of all places) and our phone company says the service outage was out of Pablo! Coincidence? I think not! :rotfl2:

I have my colonoscopy on Friday....I am just THRILLED at the prospect of being put out for the procedure...NOT. :headache: Who else said they had an upcoming colonoscopy scheduled, too?
