Hey Alisia- all this talk about Phil- I had to go on the Down website to check the tour dates- They are in Europe right now- starting in July they will be touring with Metallica- CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!? I am flying to Europe in July!:lmao:

Anyway- not sure if you knew he was singing for Down and I got a recent interview for you- he still sounds.....mmmmm.... "droopy" His voice is awesome though- his singing and speaking voice sound the same! Very sexy!

I still have to get their new CD! I have it on my list! Yes- I keep a list while I am listening to Sirius- it joggles my mind about which CDs I want- Just ordered Testament yesterday from Best Buy- should be here today or tomorrow!!!

Sorry for going on and on!

.

Good lord, could he speak any slower??? If it weren't for the interviewer, I would swear that they had slowed the interview down to half speed. :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Wool and ***** do not go together. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Speaking of metal bands and guys I had massive crushes on when I was a kid, have you heard of a band called Five Finger Death Punch? Their drummer grew up in the same small town as I did, but he was 4 or 5 years older than me. When I was in 5th grade, I had the biggest crush on him. He rode to the Alice Cooper concert with me and my aunt. I'm sure that I made a complete *** out of myself. I couldn't stop staring at him...

No I have never heard of them!

No- I am sure you were fine. How can a 5th grader make an *** out of themselves- he probably thought you were adorable.......and you were thinking, if you only knew what I was thinking!:rotfl2:

I'm gonna try this a different way...

:cool1: Yay that worked! Here's a cake for your daughter NatalliesMom!

We tried a couple different designs and we are going with a purse with paris decorations on it. Once I have it completed tomorrow I will post a picture. Thanks for thinking of me. So far my DD is having a great birthday with us. We always celebrate her bday with just me her and her dad on her bday and on the weekend following have friends and family over. She got a soccer ball today so she is spending some quality time with her daddy.

Tinkerbean I am so sorry.

TB, I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Violet. I hope it was comforting to you to be with her. I know it was for me when I lost my darling Stella. It's very hard, I hope your kids are ok.

Thanks HRH is was very good to be there with her. I held her with my face scmuched into her neck as they gave her the shot. It was quick and painless and then she was a peace, no more pain, no more trouble breathing, no more being confused as to what was happening to her. She was with me and she was going to sleep...(ok that got the water works going again). THe kids are sad. Ds wants to make a youtube video of her (I'll let you know when it's up)

Rhonda *gotta go find the tissue box*

I guess the only shot you'll be having for a little while will be a flavor shot in your coffee at Dunkins

How are you feeling lately? Don't over do it at work missy
Mad-Smiley-1.gif
We want you to take the time to rest, relax, and smell the flowers
FlowerSleeps.gif
I think of you several times a day and wish happy thoughts your way!
Yes me and dunkin donuts are best buds. Now we are going to become BFF with a little help from my friends:rolleyes1
I do chill out a lot. Thank -You for the good thoughts.
Today was a good day. I felt good most of the day

Oh forget it....what I was trying won't work and I'm too much of an idiot to figure it out!
What where you trying? Can we help?

We had a beta named Tom for a little while, actually maybe 1 1/2 years?, but I really couldn't keep up with the tank cleaning, water temp regulation, etc and Tom is no longer with us. :sad1: Actually, there was also a Tom 2 and Tom 3, but the boys never really caught on. They might have started catching on with Tom 3, since my ex brought home a red beta, and Tom (and Tom 2) were more of a royal blue/purple blend! He told the boys the water had to be treated for rust and Tom had a reaction to it. When Tom 3 passed, I found honesty, and he is buried in our flower bed in a Whitman's candy box. :sad1:
We have had Beta and other fish. DD has named them all kind of names. DH just names them all history due to the fact that the cat no matter what seems to find them and have a snack.:rotfl2:

Happy Birthday to you baby
Happy Birthday!!!

My DS turned 11 last Friday - Congratulations!!! to both of you

ps- will hopefully have a violet update soon...
Happy Belated Birhtday to your son.

I'm pretty sure I haven't been to bed for several days now.:lmao: At least it feels that way. I worked until 11:00 last night but then had to stop at the grocery. Every time I do that when I'm tired I just stand staring at things like an imbecile. I'm sure the staff at Meijer's see me coming in and whisper to each other "There's that crazy lady who stares at the milk. Stay FAR away from her." So, after wandering around for about 45 minutes just trying to find the 4 or 5 items on my list, I had to do the 45 minute drive home with my companion of a large bag of jalapeno cheetos(I love those things) to keep me awake. And I was sooooo sleepy on the drive so why was it when I finally got into bed about 1:00 that I was wide awake?:scared1: Not sure what time I fell asleep but it took a long time and then my adorable little darlings decided 6:25 was a good time to get up.:headache: So here I am.:surfweb:

TinkerBean-I hope you get some good news about your doggy today.
You need a nap girlfriend.

Hi Freaps,

I just got a call from vet and there is nothing they can do for Violet. Dh is coming home now to drive me to the hospital, so we can be there when they put her to sleep...I am so heartbroken. I can't stop crying.

rhonda
I am so sorry. Let me if I can do anything for you.

Happy May Day Everyone.....does anyone ever get flowers anymore?

We lost our Pomeranian in Nov and it still hurts. I hope with time you find peace.
Welcome to the freaps. Jump and and join us. These girls are the best. Heck they took me in.:rotfl2:
I am so sorry you lost you dog:hug:

:sad2: So sorry TB. I wish there was something I could say to make it better. I'm glad your DH will be with you.

Welcome to our group iamgrumpy.:grouphug: And welcome back TBP. Aren't you originally from Ky? Seems like I remember reading that somewhere before.:confused3 I could be wrong. I am sleep deprived and the mom of two tasmanian devils on crack.:lmao:
Did my brother drop his 2 younger one off at your house today:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Oh never mind tasmanian devils on crack would be a slow day for them:lmao: :lmao:
Thanks for the story Aunty Madd ...I think I am going to save these...

DD is home already and DS is due home in a few minutes - I am simply going to tell them that Violet died at the hospital. I don't think they can get their heads around the whole euthanasia thing...(especially since they've never heard of it before...) We will have to save that talk for another time...

Whew, thank again for all the support you guys rock, keep making me smile to quote kellie "you guys keep me sane"

Rhonda
I hope the kids will be okay.

Today is DH's birthday. He only had one request for a gift this year. We have a historical building in town that was the homestead of one of the founders, The Conrad Family, and they have various fundraising events throughout the year. This weekend, they are having a "Death By Chocolate/Casino Night" and people can dress up. They actually have a prize for the best dressed people, I guess. DH wanted to go to this event and we have never been before. He wants to dress up. I just found out that the costume for the event is circa 1920's.

I have no idea what to do about costumes as it is getting rather late to put something together. I have been on the 'net since 3:30, googling 1920's Kalispell, Montana to see if there is any hint of something we may have at home we can put together to qualify as "period costume".

Anyway, I have found some very interesting photos of Montana history if anyone else is curious:

SmokStak

Flathead Indian Reservation Timeline

A history of Montana by Kodak

History of Priest River

U.S. Marshall Merrifield

It is helpful if you have ever been to this area.....you would recognize some of the things/buildings that are still around. But, they are still some interesting photos and stories if you are not familiar with this area. I find it quite surprising that there was so much going on in, what had to have been, a wilderness of the 1920's!!

ETA: Adding one more just for the neat photos! ;)

DH John would so love that. He loves history he would never dress up but he is so into history. He should hqve been a history teacher.

Oh my goodness- so many birthdays-

I am going to wish everyone ONE BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!:cool1:

Well, even though Montana is pretty far away from the "Big" cities, it looks like from some of the street photos that the people weren't behind the time fashion wise. I would think a sailor or army uniform for your DH would be appropriate and you can do the traditional flapper dress. Do you have a costume rental place nearby? Our closest is over an hour away, but if I had to do the drive I would.

We don't really have a costume rental place around....I found out today. Your idea of the uniform is an excellent one, though. He has a buckskin jacket with leather fringe that he was hoping to, somehow, make it work but I don't think so. When we found out that the theme was 1920's, we thought, 'oh, well, maybe something to do with Montana history' but, as you stated, they dressed just like everybody else in the country did....suits, hats, and floofloo dresses and all! :rotfl2:

My DH is a character....like the rest of the guys in the family, I guess. He loves to dress up and act....like the rest of the guys in the family. ME....give me a cold drink and plop me in the corner with a snack and I am good! :rolleyes1 This is gonna be real interesting. :headache:

Oh, Tinkerbean, I'm so sorry about Violet. That's so hard and so very sad. I work at a vet's and its always so hard when that has to happen. We are always in tears ourselves, I was going to say especially for the clients who have been with us for a long time, but actually, its sad for those who have to do this for new pets or young pets too. Its just a shame. Hope you and your family take it easy for the weekend.

The you tube idea sounds wonderful, it will be a great way to remember her. The laugh filled memories are what will sustain you. Lots of hugs and love
