HAPPY ST.PATRICKS DAY
Happy early st. Patty's Day to all. I cooked shepards Pie last week and my Gran is cooking corn beef and cabbage tomorrow. Its sunny here today and I had to spend the morning at Med Point. I had an asthma attack and well that about sums up my day. Hope everyone elses went great.
Hey Madd, are you the Maddhatir over on the TGM board asking about late August crowds?
You would think after my third subscription to TGM I would know which are the parks to go to, but I just renewed today!I pay for him JUST to tell me what parks to go to on which day!![]()
Whew! Just got home from DS10's (it's gonna take some practice to get used to that "10") birthday dinner-he chose the Miexican place that I use the Restaurant.com GC's from...so that was good. Then we came home and he opened his presents..a few Wii games, a Swiss Army Knifefor CubScouts, a Chess set, some books about home experiments..can you guys see where some trouble is going to be "brewing"?? Actually the thing that is getting him excited is the chess set
. Who would have thought-we are NOT talking about a video game, it is a "manual" game..we will see how long that lasts, I can't remember my "moves", so DH will have to help him with that.
Ice cream cake is next, followed by mommy's official night cap...can hardly wait for that...
buhbye for now..
Sorry this is long but here is the recipe for the hummingbird cake. It is stillyummy the second day.![]()

1 Cup packed light brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup veg oil or canola oil
2 Tsp Vanilla extract
1 cup crushed pineapple
2 cups mashed Bananas

Butter and flour three 9 inch round cake pans or a 13 x 9 cake pan.
Combine the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda. Sift them together into a large bowl; set aside Combine sugar and br. sugar in a large mixing bowl: add the eggs and stir vigorously until smoothly blended with the sugar, Whisk in oil and vanilla. Add the flour mixture all at once and stir just until moistened and the ingredients are evenly combined. Do not beat. Add the pineapple, bananas and pecans and stir just until blended.
Divide the batter among the three pans spread evenly. After filling the pans give them a gentle shake to dislodge air bubbles. Bake at 350 for 25 to 35 minutes or until the cakes spring back when pressed gently with your finger.
Let cool : then frost each layer and the out side and then your good to go.

Any pictures![]()
I think it would be cool to get together. We are staying at the WL.
Not doing to many ADRs as I don't want to pay so much for table service & I hated being tied down the last time we went.
During the time you are there, we have an 8:00 on Monday at Crystal Palace and a 2:30 at Whispering Canyon. So other than that, we are pretty open.
How old is your niece?
She is 6- you know- you might be there for part of the free dining if they offer it this year.
Ok- so when our dates get closer we will plan on a place and time.![]()
My youngest is 6.![]()
I'm not sure if we will want to change our reservations more than halfway through to get the free dining. We would have to buy more tickets for that part & I don't know if the savings works out or not. We do have a 20% room discount right now. Have to work the numbers.![]()
