Happy Sunday freaps (NOT! I HATE Sundays! Sunday means WORK tomorrow:guilty: )

DH and I were out all day yesterday-- first- We went to see our niece and nephew (6 and 3). They went to an Easter Egg hunt in their township- SO we had to watch 9 million kids and parents line up so kids can RUN out onto different fields (they broke them up into age groups) and pick up eggs:rolleyes1
I had a pep talk with my niece- I told her to run right past all the kids picking up eggs and go right to the middle (they had the kids in a huge circle and all the eggs were int he middle of them (NOT really a HUNT IMO- they were all right there for them to pick up:confused3 ) anywho- she listened to Aunt Madd and she went right to the middle:laughing:

I gave her tips and support and I just went and sat up on the bleachers and watched from afar- that whole scene just fills me with anxiety- see, now you know why I do not have kids!:worship:

We then went back to SILs house, ate and relaxed with the kids and my other BIL and SIL. OH- I DID play with play-doh for the first time in about 35 years!:rotfl2: I realized just why I stopped:lmao: After I squished it around for a while and made a few pieces of fruit with it.....I was done:rolleyes:

Me and SIL are taking my niece to Disney in Aug (girls only!) and we are keeping it a secret- so it is SO hard to be around her and not blurt it out! :scared: If SIL told her now- she would be bouncing off the walls for 5 months! She loves Disney- I have turned her into a freak!

I have been with her all 3 times times she has been to Disney- this will be #4 and she is only 6. :yay:

oh how I miss the town egg hunts.NOT DD Shaunna hated them so it was easy to stop going.

We are going to my DB house for our family ST Pats day dinner. Yuck I hate the smell of it.
John just went to bring Shaunna back to school. She still has a touch of the crud.
A girls only trip to Disney is so cool. Shaunna and I went with friends of mine one year for girls only it was so fun.

We used to do every EE hunt available..then we caught on that the ones at the churches wanted you to stick around after so they could preach..Well, that wasn't our cup of tea, plus it would take like 2 hours..so I have stopped that. We had an EE hunt at our community pool, it was good, they had a lot of eggs. I am one of those mothers that scouts around for the last egg or two..especially if my kids don't have many..they are not aggessive in the least with these kinds of things..they are the kids who get pushed out of the way when the pinata breaks, so I try to help a little..I helped other kids, too that didn't get many eggs. (I just like to hunt eggs, but they won't let me take any home...;) ) I think Good Friday when all the kids are off school I will have my big EE hunt for the neighbor kids-about 6 or 7 kids, whoever is around. I buy tons of those plastic eggs on sale for 10cents a bag, and I have a bunch of candy..I need to start stuffing the eggs!!

Right now I am printing invitations for DS9's bday party on Saturday. Just want to get it over with..last one, I hope..Next year I am hoping to get us to WDW instead of parties.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We went to a county sponsored EE hunt one year, at one of the large sports parks...busloads of aftercare/county sponsored Saturday day care, but anyone could come-so we did...a couple hundred kids..they had lunch and a drink, but the EE hunt was about 800 REAL hard boiled colored eggs!!! How stupid and disgusting is that!??? We wouldn't have gone for that, but the kids hunted some eggs down-I would NOT let them eat them..Some of the kids were eating them, can you imagine how long they had been out of the refrigerator in the very warm Savannah weather? I can't believe there wasn't a case of food poisoning from that..I mean WHO does real eggs anymore, other that maybe someone at their home...? Yuck..

The EE Hunt is usually @ SILs house. For the past few years we would help her put candy in the eggs and we would go hide them for the kids- she would invite about 15 kids over and BIL actually has a E Bunny costume ( -- I DON'T ask!:rotfl2: ) and he would hop around and interact with the kids. His costume was way much better than the E Bunny that was at the EE hunt the other day!

SIL's hunt was much more fun than the Twp one. But she just needed a break this year.

About our Disney trip- I have ressies for the Tea Room at the GF for us- I think my niece will love it. AND- they serve champagne for the big girls!:thumbsup2

Pick me I will be a big girl for some champagne:rotfl:
I want to go to the tea room. When John and I went in Oct. I asked if he would go but he said no way. Having diner at chef Mickey's was hard enough for him.:lmao: That is because he knows Mickey is my first true love:rotfl2:

OH MY GOODNESS FREAPS!

I have not been watching closely enough and I just hit my 10,000th post- on another, random thread!:guilty:

I wanted to do it here with my freap friends!

Oh- well.

hrh-you didn't have any storm damage this weekend I hope.:confused3 I heard Savannah got hit pretty hard. We, of course, were watching the Cats on tv getting ready to play in Atlanta Friday night when the tornado hit the dome.:scared1: That must have been pretty darned scary. I think it traumatized our team so bad that they couldn't overcome it yesterday when they finally got to play.:sad2: :lmao: :sad2: Still hoping for a tourney bid though.:cheer2:

I'm getting ready to cook our St. Patty's feast since DH will be out of town tomorrow evening. We are having shepherd's pie, kale greens and Irish soda bread. DD chose that traditional Irish dessert of chocolate pudding.:rotfl2: I asked "Honey, have you ever even had chocolate pudding?" and she said "No, but it sure sounds good!":lmao: So I found a recipe but not sure how good it will be.:confused3 And, I'm sure the Irish wouldn't be too happy but we're washing it all down with English dark ale that DH made.

What time is dinner? I'm coming to your house. Shepard's pie & chocolate pudding sound good to me!

Oh no, I hope you are ok now! I can't imagine how scary an asthma attack can be, either personally or to see...Take care!

All I can say about my day is that I started ISHD's CVS "treasure hunting!" Got FREE CHOCOLATE! need I say more?

Free chocolate you can never go wrong when its free. I am doing a little better tonight. I am really tired. They gave me 2 new inhalers and told me take it easy. So I made a really good cake tonight called hummingbird cake. Its kinda like a carrot cake. Real yummy.

Hope the new inhalers do the trick. An asthma attack is so scary.

Are you going to post the recipe?
