I wonder if she had to work tonight after.

I did indeed :goodvibes didn't get home till just after 10PM :guilty: Shhhhh, that might be changing soon.

Just waiting to see how you made out!;)

No broken bones  No real diagnosis either from the covering doc - just told to medicate and give it a couple days.

Story - Monday - Michael was running away from his father (they were wrestling) and he slid on the kitchen linoleum floor and hit the wall foot 1st  I was on the other side of the house and heard *WHACK*........................*SCREAMING CHILD*
From the sound of him I really thought I was going to see blood when I got there - after hurdling the toys on the floor, skirting past the daughter, darting around the moving cat like an overweight olympian doing the hurdles  He was lying in the archway between rooms screaming his foot, his foot. So we flex up/down/sideways, push the foot all over to make sure no tender spots, etc. He appears to be okay but he is banished to the couch and told to take it easy. Tuesday - he complains off/on that his foot is still bothering him so we take off shoe/sock and I recheck - no swelling/bruising and no particular tender spots just "It hurts". Wednesday we head out the door and down the front yard to the bus stop - limp - ow - limp - ow - limp - ow - down the front yard. When I asked him what was wrong he said his foot still hurt and he couldn't run. So I figured it's been 2 days, he hit the wall pretty hard for me to hear it over the tv/my daughter/other household noises, he may have broken something, he's due to start baseball in a couple weeks, maybe I should have it checked out. I will admit that I am the drill sargeant mom - sick, no such thing as sick in this house. You go to school unless you are bleeding, throwing up or other bodily fluids are exiting your body unvolantarily :scared: , etc. and we don't take a trip to the doctors unless you've had the cold for a week or more, your up crying overnight with an earache and you WANT to go to the doctors (nearly never happens). In 7 years, other than well check ups, Michael has been to the doctors for illness/injury probably 7 times. So off we go to the doctors and we are scheduled to see the new doctor in the practice as his regular doctor is already fully booked. Fine as I have really liked the other associates whenever we have seen them. I DO NOT like this doctor. She basically treated me like "that mom" - you know the one that HAS to bring in little Billy because he has whatever sniffle/hangnail/ridiculous issue and just wants to pat mom on the back and send them on there way. She flexes his foot, watches him walk, announces he's a little flatfooted and knock kneed, maybe get him some shoes from XYZ store that will give him a little arch, and give him Motrin for a couple days and see how he does :confused3 Never heard the flatfoot/knock knee before in 7 years and not about to believe it from this person who gave a 2 minute assessment. So we are home, no x-ray, no tylenol/motrin unless he feels he needs it (I can trust him with telling me when he is really hurting/sick) and playing it by ear. Hopefully this will be the end of it but the doctor really peeved me :headache:

Well hopefuly Michael is okay. I would have been a peeved with the DR myself. But just keep an eye on it.
When Shaunna was 2 she broke he leg. I still blame John. He had jumped off a step and she wanted to do just what daddy did. Shaunna jumped off and landed fine so we thought. That day was her 2nd birthday party and she ran around all day with all the kids and never said it hurt. The next day she got up and could barley walk. After about ten minutes she was fine. We took her to the er and they did an xray only cause her dr called and told them to. He was shocked to find out this little girl running full speed down the hall had a broken leg. I still have the cast

That stinks about the doctor.

My eldest broke his foot jumping off the stairs too. Only he was EIGHT! Took a few days for it show up on the X-ray. He got to wear a glow-in-the-dark cast. He loved that.

So keep an eye your guy's foot. The fractures don't show up until they have healed some. Isn't that weird?

uggh! I hate when docs do not listen!

I would have demanded a rx for an x-ray only b/c I am a freak about those things.

Hope he is feeling better soon!:yay:
